  1. Baby BC's cuteness overload ???????????? thanks for sharing PME ☺ Lovin this thread everyone...
  2. Sorry to hear your sad/ difficult living situation SG. Must be very worrying for you & very unsettling for your dogs. Sorry I am of no help to you really. They only answer I can see to ease tensions is to move obviously but with no job atm makes this extremely difficult I understand. Maybe you may be very fortunate & a fellow Doler might extend an olive branch. Everything crossed for you. Even if you could get someone to mind Quinn temporarily for you as he is your biggest & still keep your 2 little ones for the moment. Less dogs to complain about. And just apply for any work you can. Doesn't have to be your dream job. You are bound to find something just to get you on your feet quickly so as you can find a place of your own. Thoughts are with you Simply. I have found myself in the exact same position as you when I was much younger. I took on 3 casual jobs & within no time I was out of there & in a very old shabby house with my dog but I could not of been happier :)
  3. Oh dear no... poor gorgeous little Megsy I hope she is Ok. It has been so hot & she is in new territory. Everything crossed that she is rescued & returned ASAP to safety. Such a worrying time for all concerned. She looks like such a dear little girl. R.I.P to her little friend Millie who sadly didn't make it. Poor little girl
  4. Sunday Pets is massive. They are like brick shape pieces over 1cm long when broken up individually. Not much smell really. Both my dogs like this kibble & it is good for slowing down a dog that inhales their food like Stella does even though she is feed in a slow feed bowl or a Kong. Both did well on this food. Kept great condition. Cannidae Pure Sea. Small pieces. Pea like size. Smells inviting. Quite fishy & oily to touch. Both mine love this food & kept great condition on it. Stella eats this faster as the pieces are small though. Another great backup dry that suits us. Earthborn Holistc coastal catch is another pea size shape kibble. Also has inviting smell. Both mine like it & do well on this one also. I use any of the above dry food as great backup dries. Have tried lots of other premium grain frees. Black Hawk being least preferred. Both mine went dreadful condition wise. My dogs fav & mine atm is KiwiPeak Venison & fish. Unusual looking dry food shaped like cardboard about a pea size. Square & flat. Smells amazing. Very strong aroma. My 2 love this kibble. Stella eats this fairly slowly even though it is only small pieces as it is flat & must be a bit difficult to pick up. Best of all they both thrive on this product. And they maintain a great muscle tone & coat. Noticeably smaller/firmer stools as well. Down side it is $$$ but you feed a lot less as it is freeze dried. I think it's about 1 cup to 4 from memory & do 80% raw so a 5 kilo bag lasts me about 3.5 months for my 2. This is my pick of commercial dry foods thus far that I have tried :)
  5. Love these guys as well & been using them for years now . They have never wavered in their excellent service... $5 delivery next day service & great prices. Not going anywhere else any time soon for my guys dry food :)
  6. Yes I can't imagine a worse way to way to go. Trapped & burnt to death. The one thing that I truly hope is that it happen very quickly. Light speed. Horrifying really. My heart goes out to all those heart broken pet owners. They have the right thing by having their pet cared for while they are unable to but nature has other ideas. Just so very sad...
  7. Very informative,interesting & honest post Mystiqview. I can't thank you for sharing it☺
  8. RSR, I just wanted to say that I for one didn't take any offence to your original at all. You smypathized with kirty as do I. Everyone makes mistakes...we are all human. Sometimes I wish I wasn't, on those rare occasions when parents/ animal owners just don't give a crap about their "so called" loved ones. That whole "she'll be right" attitude. The dog will be OK. etc. That's what will reduce me to tears EVERY time.
  9. Sonny has been " helping" Mr BCC hose this arvo. Stella hates the hose & runs for the hills. They both love swimming anywhere but won't use the calm shell I brought. Go figure.
  10. Ooo Elsie is one very lucky girl. Yummo for her. Hazy we certainly don't need a clock on the wall to tell us the time LOL. Stel is rarely a couple of minutes out when she comes up to me & just starts batting those pretty eye lids at me. Fading away to a shadow.... not ????
  11. Stella would think her throat had been cut if I skipped a day with their food  She loooovvveeeesss her food & anyone else's Ha Ha...
  12. Yes Sheena I think everyone is waiting for someone else to have a go LOL. Can't say as I blame them. Lots of risks trying new products especially if the product doesn't do all its suppose to. The results could be well,deadly...
  13. Pleased to hear Quinn is going OK today & the swelling has gone down. Maybe your parents will see the light & let her inside. Some folks are just dead against it for whatever reason. I think once they see that she isn't going to trash the place maybe just maybe they might come around. Very hard living situation for you & your dogs atm. Yes id love to live in QLD but I can't see myself up there. Just too many nasties. With ticks, snakes & canetoads. Bad enough here.
  14. My 2 used to love them but now they won't touch them. I used to dip them in peanut butter to get them started. Don't buy them here anymore.
  15. OSS, that is such a sad story ???? A very unfortunate accident. Poor dog I have nothing but sympathy for the owner in that instance. Unlike the brainless dog owner in this thread who knew full well his dog was locked in his obviously deadly hot car.
  16. Twice a day my guys are feed as well. Very similar to sheena or silent child. A meaty bone or a Kong filled with raw Kangaroo for breakfast & raw roo + additives+ Kiwi peak Venison & fish late afternoon.
  17. OMG... This makes me sick to the stomach. What is wrong with people. How does anyone 'FORGET' about their dog locked in the car. More importantly what is the dog doing left in the car in the bloody first place What an absolutely horrific, painfully slow, torturous way to die... poor dog... This A hole should get the book thrown at him & charged for animal cruelty. What a pathetic waste of oxygen he'd be
  18. Yes, I'm another who is very keen to try this product but will wait awhile to read customer reviews as I live in a coastal tick area. Very happy with Advantix but Nexgard only has to be given monthly orally so that appeals to me.
  19. Happy New Year folks Hope 2015 is a safe happy & healthy one for everyone Sonny & Stella also wish their fellow 4 legged doler friends a pawsome 2015
  20. Great idea kirislin. Let us know how you get on Kirty. I'd be very interested in what Nek recommends. Dear Rocky has been through so much poor fella
  21. I don't know if you are near a Coles supermarket or if all Coles do this but ours has a big wooden bin situated near the checkouts that belongs to our local dog rescue shelter for any unwanted dog gear donations or anything doggie really. They come & empty it weekly. I had a big clean out before chrissy & was able to donate heaps of gear. Great idea IMO & good on Coles as well for getting behind this. Anyway just a thought MW :)
  22. Wonderful !!! Very kind of you animal lover to help out a fellow doler with promising results :)
  23. Gorgeous update BAW. Benny looks so happy. Just beautiful to see. Lovely update. Looks like he has lived with you forever. Very heart warming...thanks for sharing :)
