  1. Congrats lovely Jess. Winners certainly are grinners ????
  2. Wow kirislin beautiful capture. Love those little birds.
  3. This is the first time I have ever seen DWD at this advanced level. Amazing really. So they are allowed to give verbal cues tassie. I didn't know that. I didn't really see very many hand signals but maybe there were lots, just very well disguised perhaps. Your right about the practice. This dog could probably do this routine in his sleep LOL. I thought the dog might have been able to see her when he looked straight up in the air. But otherwise he rarely had the opportunity to look at her really. But knowning BC'S they are incredibly sneaky & sly at times. I should of known never to underestimate their intelligence.
  4. I wasn't aware that Greys & Iggy's were prone to have bad dental problems. Any known reason for that??? Both my guys have lovely white teeth. Especially Stella who unfortunately likes to show them off on occasion to other dogs for all the wrong reasons...
  5. Yes Perse I wondered similar as I just don't know how else the dog knows what to do on cue & in perfect timing when the owner is behind him for most of the routine. Amazing really. Is it possible to train a dog that well? If so, how ?
  6. What a lovely grey Lola is. Gorgeous girl & a temp. to match by all accounts. Nothing much seem to faze this girl. Not city life, lights or even elevators. What a beauty ???? I hope she finds a loving home with a little dog or 2 for company. Poor girl is missing her little friends.
  7. Yeah I love them too DD. The footwork is divine ????
  8. I really like that Hazy. All the different light & shade in it shows off all thee different parts of the greys body. Amazing what folks can do with a camera. Very unusual & effective
  9. You are very talented then RSA. Thats very pretty music. I haven't heard it before but you've answered my question as to why the ballet dancer has a unicorn horn on top of her head  I'm still in ore of that dog. Almost brings tears to my eye's that routine. Just awesome... Loved watching the beautiful big Newfie. How gorgeous is he He moves very well for such a big fella & clever too.
  10. Welcome Susi, Dear Annie is a lovely looking girl I love Kelpie's. Good on you for rescuing her. You are doing lots of right things with her I am by no means an expert  I have a BC with a few similar issues similar to your girl. She is a very weak nerve girl though so Stella is on the extreme end of the scale . Very noise phobic & anxious. Stella is on Prozac & Kalma meds daily which are really helping her IMO. I can certainly notice that she happier & she settles a lot quicker than without medication. Just reading down your original post. There has already been some excellent advice given. Getting a trainer / going to obedience classes, very beneficial for both of you. A 1 hour walk twice a day is great. Training & trick training are both really good ways of building Annie's confidence & that's one of the most important things you can do to help her overcome sep. anxiety. You are leaving her things to do while you are gone, toys etc. Long lasting treats, all good. I don't leave bones though as they can be a choking hazard. Never cooked bones. Also make sure the bones you give her are not weight bearing ones as they can splinter. EG. lamb shanks & alike aren't suitable but beef flaps or soup bones are great. Mine get a meaty bone everyday. ThunderShirt is well worth a try. Stella loves hers & is noticeably calmer when wearing it. Crate training can also be helpful as it will give her a 'safe' place to be. Do you have a doggy door or dog access she can come inside when she likes? Most dogs hate being shut off in a bathroom, even dogs without issues. She sounds very obedient already which is terrific. With her recall I wouldn't be letting her off lead until her recall is very reliable. Maybe use a long line with her that way she can still stretch her legs but do it safely. Why is she biting her feet do you know? are they irritating her perhaps? Good luck with sweet Annie. Keep us posted on her progress. Will follow with interest :D
  11. dwynwen, would love to go & stay in that cabin on that camping video. My guys would love it to. Beautiful place. Doggy heaven
  12. Oh WOW That is just so beautiful. What a lovely partnership those two must have. Amazing work. BC's are just so very clever. Thanks for sharing. Made my morning :) Had to edit. I loved that so much I just watched it again. Truly awesome. I would love to know how this dog was able to know what to do next in this routine when most of the time his owner was behind him. He seldom seemed to turn around but yet was exactly in time with her. Amazing training. Gosh I would love to be that good
  13. Grrr888 pic of 5 very happy mates all together. Classic rat pack
  14. Spectacular Ozstar. Just beautiful photo's.
  15. Oh he is a gorgeous ol' fella DBS ????????????
  16. Yes it was strange really. I wasn't sure if the OP was a trainer or not.
  17. Oh yes possibly HD :) I didn't think of that. I just really worry about working breed dogs. There needs are quite often not meet in some homes. The pounds & rescue are proof of that. For far too many that is where they end up through no fault of their own
  18. Very rarely see OES's around. I don't know why they are a lovely dog. Maybe too much grooming for most folks. Only ones I see are on TV. Didn't know you had one Kirty. He sounds lovely ☺
  19. Stella has chipped the top off one of her eye teeth . Doesn't bother her at all & the tooth is still pearly white along with others. Did show Vet on last visit & she said it was fine.
  20. I don't know but it has vanished. I was very concerned about the welfare of the Kelpie actually. Poor dog sounded like she was very anxious & needed help. Not sure that home was suitable for her IMHO.
  21. My boy is on Tramadol for pain relief for early onset Arthritis in his hips. 25mg twice a day plus Carprohen anti inflamitory 25mg twice a day. He is 24kg. I monitor Sonny as sometimes he may need more of either medication on any given day.
  22. What a trooper gorgeous Brutus is. Very brave boy indeed. Mind blowling story of horrific neglect & cruelty He showed that lowlife breeder of his who's got heart. You are awesome Brutus . So is your lovely new owner
  23. I really don't feel comfortable in the company of heavily intoxicated people. I especially don't like them around my dogs. I remove them pronto. Usually I will just excuse myself & we high tail it home. They are always usually loud, erratic & very unpredictable. It puts my dogs, especially Stella who is especially sensitive,on edge. Even if the drunk people aren't trying to engage them. I am rarely around intoxicated people either thankfully Perse. It occasionally happens while caravaning. Dogs are so perceptive. I usually get a wet nose nudging my leg. That will be Stella she always nudges me to get my attention. Take me home mum LOL. Give gorgeous Don a cuddle for me. Very uncomfortable situation for him. Stupid drunk woman...
  24. Cuteness overload there ???? Wrinkles & all...So darn cute????????????
