I am thinking that I would like his name part of his rego name too, thought back to the name Rain which goes with sooo many things - he is a really light colour and his father has a wintery, snow theme to his name so something to do with that could work too.

I did that at my old vet with my last dog but new vet advises against it as parvo bad in our area. Saying that my dog had that shot and never vaccinated again due to allergies i titre test and he has immunity

I must admit I am a bit worried about being overly cautious and keeping him home and not socialising him, I kept my current dog home until 11 weeks ( he had the 10 week shot) and luckily he turned out fine but he is an excpetionally special dog and I dont expect the new pup to be as easy. There are heaps of footpaths in our area but I cant be sure how many dogs walk along their daily etc.

I have now found another name that I like too for the pup - too many names to choose from I tell you!!

I used to take my dog to dog parks and let him play with strange dogs, he used to love it , however after I tried to give another dog a home ( It was only here for a short while as he bullied my dog) my dog is now quite unsettled around some dogs that he doesnt know and I think it makes him uncomfortable - some dogs he is fine with and others he will now cower away from which is a huge pity as he used to be very confident. I do allow him to play with all my friends dogs who I know though

My area is a bit of a bad one for Parvo but I am going to still take my dog to the park over the road, its not a dog park so its not too high risk and I just wont take my older dog to any places where there are heaps and heaps of dogs. Will also carry pup places that I can, he is going to be very heavy though so not sure how long I will be able to carry him for

I believe it is possible to get an accurate result at that age
