Yeah, thanks for rubbing it in!! Well remember how spazz Mason was at holding????? He had a lot of work to do! His latest idea tho is to try carry 2 dummies at once which is a huge no so i have a new thing to work on now. Ruby is still ahead of him

My dog has had a dodgy stomach since having antibiotics about 10 days ago. It will be fine for a day, then one stool will be soft with like a mucous in it. Then a few days will go by and all will be fine again. I waa wondering if he can have some inner health plus and how many per day ( humans take 1 only). ETA i thought about worming him as he hasnt been wormed for awhile ( and we had a friends dog stay here for 2,5 weeks) but I dont want to worm him if it will make it worse. Seeing derm today and will ask her opinion as she knows him well.

How Should I Put Puppy Back Into The Crate?
Mason_Gibbs replied to GrumpySmurf's topic in Puppy Chat
My lab had a horrible habit of grabbing the lead and chewing it, i think i ruined him for tug tho as i kept discouraging him from doing it and now he doesnt really like tug -
Imo its much better for a pup to go on a long bushwalk offlead then do exercises like fetch etc with sudden stops, twists and turns. They will stop/ slow downwhen tired

Ohhh I envy you having your pup only ten minutes away!! Ours is over 4 hours away!! I envy people who got to see their lil pups as newborns!! I wonder if there's a thunder noise cd you can get to play so that the pup gets used to thunder? We had terrible thunder here last night Yes i know cleanrun.com had them at one stage. Joelle I thought about Carolyns classes but its such a drive that I am going to give it a miss. Mason only went to class after his 10 week shot ( so he was 12 weeks) and I will take pup from 13 weeks to our obedience clubs pup school. -
How Should I Put Puppy Back Into The Crate?
Mason_Gibbs replied to GrumpySmurf's topic in Puppy Chat
One word of advice I would not pick puppy up all the time to get him to do the stuff you want him to do ( ie pick im up and put him in the crate). Make him walk in on his own. I had a friends little dog here and I found I was picking him up to make him do things instead of luring him etc ( its not my dog so I wasnt going to train him for them) but I guess my point is this, if i had done it with my lab there is no way I could pick him up now to get him to do things, and IMO its better for a small dog to learn to do things when they are asked and not carried and put where they must go. Small or big I feel they must work for their rewards and learn how to learn. I was talking to someone about this the other day, if puppy is never taught how to learn then you only have trouble further down the line. Crate games DVD is an excellent DVD, I also like THe Focused Puppy book from Clean Run ( free shipping ATM) great ideas in there about how to raise a pup. -
Retrieving & Field Training Talk
Mason_Gibbs replied to RubyStar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I have been doing more retrieving training with my boy he way prefers it to the obedience :)He is coming along well, he was collecting the correct dummy if 2 were thrown and I sent him for one ( the one I wanted) but now this week he has gotten the idea in his head that he has to try and collect both so we are busy doing more work on that! -
30 mill - sheesh I could live on that, it would be a struggle but I will manage!! LOL!!!!
