Anyone In Perth Use Canidae?

Wish that was closer to me -
Suzie it is MRs Tornsocks I just hit a blank when I posted yesterday. I would encourage people who get a new pup to take out insurance ( and I promise I get no money from anyone lol) I have seen people time and time again get a new pup and then something comes up ( allergies, dog gets a limp and needs an xray etc) and if you take it out now when your pup has no pre-exisiting conditions you will be covered for everything. If after a while when the pup is fully grown you dont want it then you can just cancel but I think it is worthwhile, my dog had some blood tests the other day ( non allergy related) $500 later and my policy had paid for itself for the year. Lots of people put money away instead, thats fine, but if you put $5000 and your dog has an operation or gets sick and it costs $5000 you are still out of pocket instead of paying the +- $500 premium for the year - This is just my feelings on it so i am sorry if it offends you.

Mason is only scared of thunder and the noise the smoke detector makes. He used to hate prams as a pup though, it was odd.....
-
Yep I have thought about changing too but my dog has allergies which would then not be covered
-
Mason is going to see Deb Nook for the first time on saturday, decided he should have a body check up lol
-
I paid $22 and only used it once, its thinner than your slipleads and not very long so see it in real life first. I was going to keep it if i got a girl but will have to order 2 boyish ones now
-
Here is a pic, they only had a tiny pic of the rope on website and its so girly...
-
RS i should give you my sliplead, i ordered it online and its kinda girly in real life the pink thread is quite bright
-
I just got the pup a set from City Farmers - will also wait till he stops growning to get summing else
-
I am a bad girl, after buying the crate online this am I now went to City Farmers and got Mason a new collar and lead ( i felt bad for all the stuff new addition is getting plus I had $10 to redeem). Now all i need for pup is his bag of food and thats about it rego name will be Arctic Storm or Cold as Ice but we cannot agree on a call name, the only ones we agree on are Gibbs or Storm. I want to order those Boomerang tags like you have RS so I need to make up my mind quick smart ( or I guess I could just put a number and no name )

The American Kennel Club changed its rules last year (or the year before) to finally allow mixed breeds to compete... so I am not sure why ANKC would revert back to that when so much of what we do is influenced by the UK KC and the AKC. exactly - and until they change the WA rule to papers being given out with the puppies registered, some people just aren't going to have the papers to prove their purebred dog is papered, and have to resort to the associate...same for rescues that are most definitely pure but don't have papers to go with them. HOpefully the new microchipping rule can change that also. Not sure but it was mentioned to some people at our club....
-
Some people mentioned to me awhile back about the associate desexing issue and there was a rumour going around ( not sure how true) but apparently they were pushing for not allowing non purebreed dogs ( ie no papers) to compete in ANY dog sports. Like i say only a handful of people were talking about this so no idea if there is any truth to it or not.

Im with you there Mirawee, we pay ( IMO quite a bit per year )to belong to Dogswest and then still pay entry fees on top of that so surely there is money there to fix the bottom oval and give us some toilets
-

Dry Food That Does Not Contain Wheat, Corn Or Soy?
Mason_Gibbs replied to Erny's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
If my lab didnt eat i think i would panic he has never missed a meal in his life lol!! -
Yup it is the rules Joelle, not allowed on the premises at all - not sure why
-
I dont let my dog run around with unfamiliar dogs but our dog club which has a puppy school is held on public grounds where dogs are walked which is why im asking these questions in the first place. IMO vet puppy schools are just as bad as that is where sick dogs go which is why im not keen on it.

Dry Food That Does Not Contain Wheat, Corn Or Soy?

Poor Mandela!! I cant imagine what it must be like to have a dog that does not like food, my 2 previous ridgies ate like machines and this lab of mine eats anything and everything that he can. -
There is a lady in the lab thread on here who's dog had an overbite from puppy, not sure if it ever improved etc but I will try and remember her screen name though. As for the surgical procedure I agree with someone elses comment find another vet. I do agree with having Pet Insurance though, I have claimed about $7000 in 2 years so its worth it for me and will have it again for the new pup.

I dont live close to canine SHowdog Im all the way out in Ellenbrook, I never take my dog to the dog park here as our vet says a few dogs have caught parvo there ( and they were vaccinated). I definitely wont be bringing him to K9 until all the vacs are done but I do have to take my other dog to his trial there which is a bit concerning as what if he brings parvo home but I cannot not walk him for 4 weeks he will go nuts. I would love to do the Nobivac one, my current dog had it but my new vet does not do it and I am not prepared to go back to him. I will try and find out where I can get it done though. My vet feels that there is too many dogs with Parvo around here to not do a 12 and a 16 week vac.

We had decided to try and get puppy out as much before he has his 12 week injection so we thought hubby could carry him around ( i suspect he will be too heavy for me to carry) for example if I take my big dog to the dog park and hubby just carries the pup what is the chances of him getting parvo. It will be beginning of september that he comes home at 8 weeks??
