I am going to get these but tossing up between regular and large. I have Labs but leaning towards the smaller one as it still take 1 cup of food which is more than enough (I think!) What size do you have experience with? Any idea if the hole where the food comes out is the same size in both sizes? We've got two of the large size ones - our pup is only 11 months yet is apparently close to fully grown (just over 20kg) for a border collie... we actually got the larger one thinking he might grow a little more but also as the large is too big to fit in his mouth so although they've got a few tooth marks etc there's no way he could actually get a grip on it enough to destroy it (unlike the rest of his toys!). I barely put anywhere near a cup in ours, and often use just a few pieces of things that smell good to him but he's going to take ages to get them out on the right angle.. it keeps him going for hours and hours and I can quite happily leave him alone with it and not worry what condition it'll be when I come back! (was a saviour for puppy 'witching hour'). Hope that helps... I cant remember the size of the food opening from memory... I have been wanting to try one for ages, because I have 2 dogs I would need 2 though and they are not cheap if they are not interesting to the dogs so good to know it keeps your dog busy

Did they do allergy testing? Maybe get her to try a new specialist a dermatologist that's any good would have done tests and found the cause and then gone from there.
-
My dog is having the same issue lately but also passing blood, he has bad colitis all the tests came back normal so I'm guessing it's his food allergies playing up .
-
Sorry guys I am going to have to cancel too, I don't think it's a good idea for me to eat new things at anew place until ii Find out what my food allergies are, I would hate to have an allergic reaction at dinner and ruin it for everyone, looking at the menu I would probably only be able to have salads and rolls and maybe dessert as a safe bet. Finances are also bad now due to Gibbs going to the vet this week and Mason having to go x2,,

Have they seen a dermatologist??

I was going to say thanks, but maybe not! Didn't realise they were so expensive I'm already at $250 Admittedly, a small fraction of that is stuff for Pippa too, but not a lot Lol u guys are bad, I'm limiting mine to just over $100 but like $50 of that is gifts for 3 friends dogs

I do also agree with this too -
I think it may be ST usually he gets itchy first before he gets the stomach upsets but we will see what the results come back as, if it shows nothing then its the chicken

Vet is not sure what is up, could be allergies, they have a sample so are running tests. Happy birthday Zac!!!
-
Well let Mason out for the loo this AM and he had a bit of diarrhea but thought nothing of it as with his allergies he often has problems, but then he started pooping bright red blood, Off to the vets just now, musts say I hit a panic... This has never happened before

I am not sure how many more are on here from WA?? -
Horty I was only stressed as I was told by another vet that it's his shoulder elbow area... Which translates into awful things for labs like OCD and elbow dysplasia None of us thought to check his toes though.... It's just one of those things I guess
-
Mason is actually fine ATM food wise and itch wise. His immunotherapy has kicked in

I have tried just about everything, I wasn't having a go at you I just don't think you realize how difficult it is to have a dog that has real bad allergies, you just think you have found a solution and he sensitives to the next thing, it's awful and very soul destroying, the stress of it sometimes makes me physically ill!!!
