Oh and while he ate it in the end, Gibbs didn't want to eat horse ( and this is a dog that will eat plastic, rope etc, whatever is going!!)
-
Yeah Gibbs was hallucinating when I transferred him to the overnight vets

Funny my 2 are both itching at the moment, I'm assuming it's something like mould spores in the air that they are breathing in but then Masion tested neg for mould spore allergies... Horse is very very rich and canmake them sick, gives my 2 the runs.Has she had goat?? I would go see Mandy the dermatologist she can help u best :)

The surgeons are so good these days, if they are predicting a good outcome I'm sure all will go well. I got told Gibbs would never be 100% after his surgery but 15 weeks later it's a different story :)
-
Also try remember Ness that stressing about it wont help, follow surgeon and physios directions and all will be fine :) ETA and remember if Gibbs could overcome hos leg issue im sure Kenz can too ;) his prognosis was he would be only able to do limited activity, after recovery it got changed to lead a full and normal life

Yes Gibbs issue is now muscle wastage we are doing some work on sand to try build it back up

It was Masons first time with the gun today and he was very steady so I am happy with that but he couldn't find the first dummy in the heavy scrub, not his fault as it was very thick but I still felt a bit disappointed, I think I expect too much from Mason!!

Best thing to do is get them rexrayed when they have stopped growing and then let ortho specialist decide which surgery your dog will benefit most from. On the day our specialist xrayed ( surgery day) he phoned and changed his plan as originally they were going to just clean up the joint but it had gotten worse and so they needed to do an ulna ostectomy. Find a surgeon that u trust and go from there

And remember not all dogs that bunny hop have hip dysplasia. My labs hips are fine but he still runs like a pup at almost 12 months and has an odd gait. Due to his elbow dysplasia the specialist xrayed his hips at the same time as his elbow surgery and his are normal for a lab. If you are very worried get an ortho specialist to do X-rays :)
