Seeking Advice For An Itchy Dog.

Supplements help but a dog like mine with real allergies wouldn't be "cured" by the coconut oil, dermatologists are recommending evening primrose oil. Best thing I did or mine is desensitization therapy. ETA the desensitization was started after full allergy tests -
Gibbs used to do that, he has eventually stopped now, I clicked and treated when he was walking nicely

Puppies, A Social Experience Apparently
Mason_Gibbs replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
In retrospect, my puppy is now 11.5 months old and I wish that I had taken the approach that LMSW is taking - neutralisation of distractions and focus on me. If I had done this, I'd have less problem barking (at every leaf, when I move a wheelbarrow in the yard, people that walk past our back fence - which is open) and other issues such as racing off to meet strangers because she thinks there is more value there, that I'm now working through with a behaviourist. Yes it is good for puppies to have socialisation - LMSW's GSD pup has met my Jap Spitz under controlled conditions and her terms - he doesn't have no interaction with other dogs, just on her terms (which is fair enough IMO) My dog will always focus on me but when he was a pup I let people approach him, he has no fears or hang ups, loves all dogs and people. I can have him anywhere with anything going on. ETA there will always be people out there who are ignorant, it's not really ther fault if they don't know any better, it's our job to educate them I guess -

What Is The Most Popular Colour In Your Breed?
Mason_Gibbs replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'd say chocolate is the craze these days. And black and yellows in popularity appear to be evenly split! (Yellows are bestest, though!!) ;) I'm crossing over to the light side, my yellow boy is so handsome -

I would have hesitated to strap my valuables to Gabby, she was psycho even people who handled dogs were afraid of her, she was fine with our family though, wish she was still around though...
-
Nope. They don't seem scared of dogs.... But on the other hand if I had a big scary dog I would be strapping my mobile and wallet to my dogs stomach, see how brave they really are, would have done it with my ridgy x for sure, she had a thing for fingers and would never have gone with strangers, and if you tried to pick her up she would bite. Teach those buggers a lesson

I think they are watching people and seeing what gets locked in the boot etc
