British Bulldog - Flea Allergy Dermatitis
Mason_Gibbs replied to Carlo11's topic in General Dog Discussion
The episodic does sting, I got some on my hand by mistake, my whole arm up to my shoulder broke out in a huge rash. I'm not a fan. We use Malacetic ear wash it is much gentler. Pearl is showing all the samesymptoms my boy had, signs of a food allergy and atopic dermatitis, she could be allergic to more than just fleas, it could be pollens as well as other things like dust mites or any other number of things. You are doing you best by her which is great. Is she on any fish oil or omega oils? We use fish and evening primrose oils. As for dry skin we use QV oil diluted with water in a spray bottle and use as needed. We only use QV wash, only Malaseb if there is signs of infection brewing, it is very drying. -
Was going to give u my parfait i need 2 boy ones

British Bulldog - Flea Allergy Dermatitis

Rice or pasta is a bit dicey as grains are a common problem. Sweet potato or pumpkin are much better choices. I think a dermatologist would be your best bet -
British Bulldog - Flea Allergy Dermatitis
Mason_Gibbs replied to Carlo11's topic in General Dog Discussion
Roo or goat or horse with sweet potato for 6-8 weeks NOTHING ELSE!!! Then add one item in each week after that for 10 days and make a note of her condition. I wouldnt be feeding te beef it one of the proteins that are likely to cause an issue. My allergy dg cannot have wheat, beef or chicken. Maybe see a dermatologist? They are best for ths type of thing. Some people have success with Hills ZD but my boy got worse on it. -
Vets All Natural - Perfect Puppy Nutrition

You might find the following page link interesting, although if you have things under control now, you may not need it. Nutriscan - Dog Food Sensitivity kit The FAQ page will provide the answers to most of the questions people reading would be interested in : FAQs: NutriScan Diagnostic Test for Food Sensitivity and Intolerance I am very much waiting for news of the Test being expanded - anticipated sometime early this year, I believe. Seeing the dermatologist Friday so will give it a mention. Mason is like Mandela in that he tolerates things for awhile and then has an issue usually about 3-6 weeks of eating the problem food, thought he could tolerate chicken the other day as he doesn't reac by scratching anymore, 5 weeks later he was pooping blood, he had the runs a few times leading up to this so it wasn't totally out the blue. Chicken, beef and wheat are off our list totally -

I would love to have Masons saliva analyzed as I have worked out what he can and can't have through elimination diets. Thought he couldn't have oats but got tired of pulping a veg etc mix for him so I have started feeding him the VAN puppy complete mix as its what my puppy is eating, 2 weeks later and he isnt itching more and no digestive upset, in fact his stomach has been better than its been in a long time, I will be very happy if he continues to be able to eat it as kibble just doesn't work for him, in one end and out the other . -
RS and i are going to bbq and swim etc at Kwinana beach on ozzie day morning if anyone is keen to join

He cracked me up the way he stared at his ball -
There was an idiot owner walking around the dog beach at Hillary's last weekend swearing at any dogs and trying to hit any dogs who even looked at his dogs ball ( his dog was on a long line but still causing chaos) , he seriously got my back up and if I was a guy I would have punched him in the head, where do these people come from??

It's much cheaper to buy the 15kg bag of VAN
