  1. I am gping to be brave and give it a go. The only thing we need to work on is making sure he doesnt break when he sees the dummy been thrown as he gets over excited!!
  2. Congrats! I get my 'new' used car tomorrow a Pajero :) my Getz was also just 2 small for 2 adults and 2 labs
  3. Get rid of the Neo, if you were capable of handling dogs with issues you would have realised something was amiss between the 2 dogs and not let them be together. I think the Neo needs to be with someone very experienced. Im saying all of this from experience i had 2 females that had serious fights, one got her throat ripped out in the last fight. No one would take any of my dogs so i had get drastic and remove canines etc which is not the right thing to do. It was 13 years ago and thngs have changed. Poor poor lab if i didnt already have 2 male labs i woud take him myself
  4. Can you please remind me again on Sunday night? Thanks guys. Ruby's just having a bit of a rough trot at the moment, but does so with her waggy tail and happy face. She's one special girl that one xx She'll be fine :) Is anyone else getting that rain? It's started to spit a few big drops here in the south, but it's not very heavy yet. Fingers crossed we get a lovely downpour tonight!! Yup Gibbs is like that too he wags that butt no matter what. He is having Bowen tomorrow ( me too) seeing local ortho and vet on tues and they will decide if we need to go to Rivergum or not
  5. Mason is not a tug fan, he will play it, but he prefers retrieving and food lol as a reward
  6. I noticed at the beach that he seems happier to stare at the ball than actually have the ball? Maybe it was just that day??
  7. Thats not always true, while my 2 love each other they also really love being with us and are bonded to us humans too! I train mine seperatly but while im at work they are alone, 3 days a week. ETA my 2 are gundogs both get on well with the cats. Both pups tried to bother the cats as pups but i was very strict with this and did really yell at them etc if they chased cat or got too rough. My younger pup thought it was fun to try lay down on top of the cats and this was really discouraged!
  8. They can use birds as well dont forget, all done with a thrower and one may be a water retrieve. If they use birds i will scratch as Mason had never had one and i dont love touching birds lol
  9. Anyone else in WA gving the retrievabilty tests a go this year?? Im enetering the Mason
  10. Ok who can clue me on on the exercises to be done on RATG? I know it was heel, recall and then retrieve. How many retrieves and do they use a thrower or is the dummy just on the ground? I watched a demo but cant remember all the exercises

  13. Ok some advice needed. Gibbs is 6 months old, he knows drop but gets lazy and does a drop where back end goes down first, i have always encouraged the backwards fold drop but he is not keen to do it. Do i withold treats and just domt give him any until he folds? I have been back tl basics and am now luring him backwards. Is this the right thing to do?

  18. I was wondering how normal it is for a dog to have a scratch etc a day, my other dog is an allergy dog so as soon as my pup scratches i panic. He will have a scratch once a day or so and maybe dp the nibbling on his back legs also once a day. Nothing too drastic but i was wondering if thats normal? Also when he sheds more he scratches more?
  19. That' s thinking outside the circle Yup thats what i use :)
