Can Permoxin Be Used On Dogs If You Have Cats?
Mason_Gibbs replied to Lily123's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I spray my dogs outside with Permoxin and don't let them near the cats until it is dry I have had no issues. -
I'm not Sure if my boys are allergies or intolerance, beef makes him itch, he can eat chicken and not itch but then poops blood... So not really sure how his would be classed.
-
Yup my dog has food allergies too, chicken is a big problem for us. But Erny I spoke with my dermatologist about those tests and some uni or professor did a study on those saliva tests and it concluded that they are not successful on determining food allergies. I'm still waiting for her to mail me the article, when she does i will send it on to you. ETA also with dogs with atopic dermatitis its what they breath that makes them itch so topical applications just don't work for them unfortunately.

Ok having a dog with severe allergies I'm sorry to say your vet has pulled the wool ver your eyes. If you see a dermatologist your dog will have allergy tests and then will start desensitization injections. It works for most dogs to lessen the severity of the symptoms. I had my boy tested at 18 months, he will be 3 in April and the immunotherapy has made a huge difference to his life. Yes he is still on antihistamines at the minute but he is in no way as itchy as he was. Our dermatologist is brilliant in my mind Mason wouldn't be alive without her as she is that good and they have helped him that much. Food for thought..

I'm very interested in this as my 7 month old may be having an op on his elbow and I would like him to have stem cell treatment as well

All color labs can have skin issues, personally I don't know of any chocolates with allergies but it's possible.

The problem comes in that some dead teeth dont fall out, basically my pup wrecked his teeth so bad that they couldnt fall out. I too left them but then he got abscesses on both sides so if any of my dogs ever breaks a tooth again they will be taken out Yes that can happen. But if the tooth is removed to soon the permanent teeth can come into position crookedly. The baby teeth are there to guide the permanent teeth into position. If you wish to show your dog and the teeth have come down in an incorrect position you may find it more difficult to win with a dog with incorrect dentition. It can also do the opposite, my pups brother had his adult tooth growing out crooked from a retained deciduous tooth and it also had to be removed. He is a show dog

Lumps Suddenly Appear On Dog
Mason_Gibbs replied to Caesars mum's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I know of a 4 year old dog that developed allergies it can and does happen -
A specialist surgeon cut my pups 2 canines out as once they break they often form abscesses. Problem is the big teeth are often very close behind the baby ones in the gum so thy have to be careful to not damage them.

Lol I would offer to take her off your hands but maybe not such a good idea since Gibbs isn't desexed. He is very innocent though, Masn has always been a jumper ( he even tries to ump Gibbs if he is excited) but Gibbs is sooo not a Humper! He has never done any humping whatsoever. But maybe if there was a girl around lol..... You not mating her this time around?

I have said to dad I will go back to Africa for his 60th in 2014:) mind you both OH had I could have flown over for the price of my car license transferral price and the price of Gibbs' leg treatment maybe bugger
-
Its just strange as the mouth is one of the most dangerous places to have infection. Glad she has antibiotics now though
-
Yes Mirawee we bought through a dealership
-
Im very shocked that they never sent her home with antibiotics to start with!! Gibbs had straight away with his tooth removal
-
Yup I'm in shock, been saving my butt of this year trying to save for home loan deposit. Then I hear Gibbs may need surgery and now the huge bill, so even tho iv been saving I'm just going to be in debt which sux I can pay for one but not both and seeing as I will get traffic violations if I don't pay I guess we will be paying the vehicle transfer bill. All the other times we bought cars it's been included in the price but not this time!!
-
Anyone giving out personal loans? We had no idea that our transfer fees were not added to our car loan and I got A $2000 bill in the mail today - almost fainted. So there goes the money for Gibbs' surgery, I could scream!!!
