Lol. I think it is a bit harder with an adult, both mine learned to learn so they catch on but i can imagine how different it is with an adult. How old os Chika?

Have you ever trained a dog for competition Prolomy or did you get all your other kids from pups?

Congrats, I'm pretty nervous for tomorrow -
9:30 start mason will be boiling if it's hot

Judge will say halt your dog must just sit auto when u stop. No you won't be allowed to touch the ground as a drop signal. Do yourself a favor and go watch an obedience trial it's harder than it sounds :) no you don't have to belong to a club. For a stand you can say stand - 1 word only.

Well I haven't heard from DogsWest RE my Associate Gundog application so I am guessing that means Millie has to run as NFC Ruby and I have just come home from her first desensitization jab. They said she didn't have a reaction and was all good Good start :) As I was waiting, some people came out with their male yellow Lab with a shaved patch on his side and LOADS of red dots. I had a chat to them about what he was tested for and he is basically allergic to everything, including cockroaches! Poor bugger. As I was chatting, they brought Ruby out, they were like two peas in a pod. Same breed, same colour, same shaved patch and bandages on their leg Must have been Labs day out as just before this, people walked out with their black Lab in a cast on his front leg. He had been hit by a car But he was all good so happy ending! Was that at Murdoch ??

Luxating Patella Issue (updated 7 Weeks Post Surgery)
Mason_Gibbs replied to ness's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I'm not really sure Rosie but you could phone and ask. You could just get your vet to write you a letter for a consult because they are very good. Was also told I needed a MRI initially but Rivergum said X-rays are fine and they could even see the changes o n the first lot of xrays that 2 other vets missed. We see Tom Hill. Apparently Neil Gibson is great too, we are seeing him next thurs for suture removal. -
I got a tattoo many years ago and now I want to change the design. What I would really like is the faces of my 2 ridges, Sam my old horse and Mason and Gibbs face but it would turn out to be a huge tattoo... But then my stomach and butt are now plus size so I recon it would fit lol

I know how u feel it's been a week and the next 5 weeks can't got fast enough for me!! RoieFt I would pay Rivergum a visit, have you had any X-rays done? -
Oh the joys of puppies lol!!
-
Yeah i saw that too Mirawee

It's the brand I feed but I am trying to get rid of my puppy stuff as it is! Zora has finished growing now so I have to mix half puppy/half adult or she looks like a little tub of lard! Lol it's been sitting here in an airtight container since before Xmas, both of mine are on raw so it's no use to me and Gibbs can't eat puppy food even if he was on biscuits
-
So i have a container of Earthborn Holistic puppy Vantage about 7kgs worth that i am giving away to any takers, i just want it gone :)
-
My vet recommended Zydax ( which is cartrophen) shots for Gibbs too
-
Yup everything for Gibbs is in writing, he is only allowed short controlled lead walks until 6 weeks, then he needs to have another set of X-rays to check how the ulna has healed, after that he will be allowed to do more. However we see te surgeon again next Thursday for suture removal and I want to ask about swimming. Also after Easter he will be seeing Deb for some treatments :) Congrats on the puppies

Yes the surgeon is very happy with Gibbs at this stage

Now my dog cannot tolerate any kibble, ZD was actually one that made him the worst he has ever been - he does best on raw with VAN, I have worked out what suits him and I won't be changing anytime soon!!!

So the verdict on arthritis ??? They only way you know 100% is by x-raying and to be honest it seems a waste of money to tell is something that is inevitably going to happen to Toby because of his past injury. He likely has arthritis in some form, even if it is just the slow process joint degeneration from his old injury. We are treating him with cartrophen treatments now, monitoring activity levels and continuing with Deb's treatments/joint powders etc. I don't think it was arthritis pain the other day though since he bounced back so quickly. Yeah I tend to agree with you.

So the verdict on arthritis ???

Hmm my dog has something similar but we worked out it was food allergies, as well as making him itch some foods like chicken actually make him have diarrhea and poop blood - not pleasant
