  1. Some dogs have allergies so bad that they need Prednisolone for short periods of time and sometimes permanently, my dogs life is sometimes a misery because of his allergies and without using some form of cortisone he would have probably been in a lot more discomfort to the point where I would rather put him to sleep then see him suffer like that.
  2. Sounds good! What about white things for purity? Flowers, wedding dresses christening gowns ...... white chocolate (pure excess ) Yeah I thought of asking Tracey to wear her dress again lol!!
  3. I noticed on the way home there were two or three fires burning. You always know the first really hot day of the season, the fire bugs come out Hope you feel better soon This sounds good! Who are you doing your course with? It will be great to learn something new I am doing the course through Australian College ACQ - I am looking foward to my first assignment pics but I have no idea what I am going to do for my purity theme yet... I thought of either doing pics of a baby or child - or a puppy...
  4. Poor you Valley, I HATE reactions to antibiotics, I am allergic to a whole group of them and when I took them and had a reaction i almost landed in hospital and only felt right about a month after - so take it easy and dont exert yourself in the next couple of weeks I am not going to be on DOL so much these days as my course material came, so I am going to be quite busy as its a lot of practical photography work.
  5. Yes I also worry about the pollution which is why I no longer take toys to river, we only take toys to the beach of one of us is in bathers. The fire looks bad from Ellenbrook, I can see a lot of smoke etc and at hubbys work in Forrestfield.
  6. Mason always leaves his toys in the river, I have lost so many that i no longer bother to take any down with me I can count on Sophie to get the toys but she wasn't there this morning, she was babysitting Bear :D , the boys are hopeless . Mason will fetch it if he sees when it lands, but if he happens to look away then I am up the swan river with no paddle so to speak lol!!! :D

  8. I would go with the 50D because I love my Canon :D The 50D is an awesome camera.
  9. Aww so cute!! The colour suits him.. ETA, its so warm outside already
  10. Take him to see a dermatologists, I tried guessing what was going on with my dog and in the end it just cost me loads more money instead of going to the derm.
  11. Tiggy, Mason has the exact same stuffed elephant that Pea has in the crate with him Mirawee we will be thinking of the little foal today, poor thing...
  12. If the vet does not find anything wrong i would give fish oil daily, I give 5 x 1000mg capsules.
  13. Yeah so do I, we were due to get ours 13th Sept :p :p Are u still getting it? I know that there was a problem getting them as they had so many orders, I will only be able to get a used one in 2012 when hubbys car is paid off.
  14. DOnt even talk about new cars, I SOOOO need a bigger one. Mason and his huge crate JUST fit into my Getz, I want a Hyundai IX 35....
  15. Sorry for your loss, cant be easy losing pups.
  16. I take mine to the park daily and let him have a good run around, he also swims a few times a week. I should probably get him to a chiro as he has never been before ( I know I'm a bad mum )...
  17. I think it may help with my dog, he is really laid back and relaxed around me unless I REALLY work to get him going but for strangers he is happy as Larry and excited the moment he sets eyes on them - not sure if he would work for anyone else though, one instructor at our club tried to work with him and play a game with him and he ran back to me. I think it may depend on the person really, but if the person had nice yummy food then I am willing to bet he would work well for a stranger I must actually try this...
  18. Sounds to me like your dog doesn't understand the game yet (the game being: you offer behaviours, I'll tell you what I like & reward it, and then you offer similar behaviours, and I'll tell you which variation I like and reward it, and so on). I'd suggest you go and shape a whole bunch of other things, anything you like, and then give the book thing another go when your dog understands the game. No I think he understands shaping but I have realized now why he is confused. A few weeks a go I bought a hula hoop and wanted to start teaching him to go to it , so I rewarded any interaction with the hoop and moved on to clicking and treating when he went and sat in the hoop. But now I think he thinks that sitting with the paw on the book is what I want because when he sat in the hoop I clicked and treated. I have used shaping before a few times with him and all the other times it has worked.
  19. Lol Barry is my vets name I love what your dad gave you Tiggy - its adorable!! What a nice dad
  20. I already have stuff still on the way from them lol - let me go see what I want quickly, I do have something in mind... Edited to add - I took Mason to play with Paddy and Dougal at Riverside this morning and he snuck off and ate something really disgusting, he has vomited up 3 big piles of stuff and it smells like a rotting fishy carcass + dead bird - I had ear plugs shoved up my nose as I wanted to be sick cleaning it up....
  21. Yeah the paver was higher grade for him, he is too big to get both feet up on it when he has no idea what I want him to do - will use the step stool, I have one of those here
  22. Dont lie its because purple is your favorite colour lol :D You are quite lucky with the goldies, cream goes with any colour
