I Almost Killed My Dog By Giving Him Fish Oil Tablets :(
Mason_Gibbs replied to Megan2010's topic in General Dog Discussion
I completely agree Nekhbet I'm a huge advocate for PREMIUM (ie not supermarket rubbish) dried dog food, unfortunately in Neo's case he was put on a balanced natural/raw diet by our breeder and vet due to digestive problems, we tried every kind of ultra premium dog food for him, but he just ended up with diarrhea We even tried the "Science" hypoallergenic prescription food gradually and he still couldn't stomach it, trust me I tried everything, I don't give up easily! My other dog has been on ultra premium dog food since she was a puppy (I import food for her from the USA) and touch wood she's never had any issues, this food is balanced with fish oil and vitamin E luckily. Yes my allergy dog is the same he just cannot stomach dry kibble, ends up with the runs the whole time and he bottom scoots with it too. He is on raw now with veggies and does much better. -
With my dog with skin issues Aloveen made him remarkably worse.

I would come but $'s are few at the moment - OH may have to fly back to RSA soonish as his eldest sister is very ill and they are saying she is not going to make it..

X2, Labsrule - I found that quite awful! And I got the feeling watching that Russian (?) lady hugging the supposedly 'tame' fox that it was very nervous at her touch.....lots of lip-licking, etc. I also felt so sorry for the poor foxes

Best Breed For Your Average First Time Dog Owner
Mason_Gibbs replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
My lab is the easiest going non-destructive dog that I know - he would have been perfect for the first time dog owner, he loves to please you and hates doing the wrong thing. -
He he , I caved and got hubby a PS3 for his birthday in August - he loves it so much!

No, last I heard she had to rehome them. It's freaky when someone you don't know knows you! Remember that lady at the DOL meet who asked you where Kyzer was and then she said to me she has watched all my obedience videos and we were like but who are you?! Yes it turned out she was a DOLer who is more of a lurker, and I guess the nature of this public forum with us posting personal details about ours and our dogs names, videos, where we are meeting, etc. but it still freaks you out Yes Kristen no longer has her dogs I believe. I think it could be the lady with 4 yellow girls, she was at the Piney Lakes meet awhile back and I think she must have remembered Rosie from then, Mason loved her Cara

How Fussy Is Your Oh Pertaining To Dogs Inside The House
Mason_Gibbs replied to Moselle's topic in General Dog Discussion
My OH is the one who started letting my lab sleep on the lounge and on the bed... need I say more? -
My male lab used to bark at people walking past etc at our old house, he cant see out here but even if people come to the door he rarely barks - he is a very quiet dog.

I am exactly the same!!!!!

I was looking for a business idea to make some cash, I think I just found it! JulesP, you get your dose for free as you're the guinea pig for my new product, but if anyone else wants to try it, I charge a small fee for a sample! I get nervous so I will give it a try
-
Yeah the behind one. I have been doing the two treats lure method so sending him around a cone seems like a cool idea! He would love the game of it I am also trying to teach Mason this for Rally - going to leave it for next week though as I have a trial on sunday and I dont want him getting confused ( which he can get quite easily)

Yip I am so proud, think this is the first trophy I have ever won in my life, I was not very competitive with my horses ( one went lame very young and had to be PTS and the other one stressed out too much to compete with) and I am not very sporty.

Those photos look scary Amypie! It looks so close! I can smell the fire all the way in Ellenbrook now... must be worse down south.

Here is Mason and his trophy...

Yeah I was looking around the other day and Mason and Phoebe are the only ones from puppy class and pet classes that are still attending training!!

Woohoo, congratulations Mason2009 and Mason, may it be the first of many. Thanks Ozjen

Thanks for that, it actually reassures me quite a bit... I was debating weather or not to just titre test him after his boosters.. Yes I had Mason vacc'ed as a pup and then titre 12 months later - he came back as covered too.

I could never do dancing with dogs, I am way too shy! YOU?! SHY?!! I am shy with display sort of things like dancing or obedience etc, I am fine with talking ( had to a lot for my old job, used to give speeches to like 100 people at a time),but I am shy with things that I have to physically do.
