That is not strictly true, my dog has real bad allergies but Polaramine does NOT a thing to help him when he is real bad. Zyrtec does help but not very effective when he is bad in summer, he is on antihistamines and low dose of pred ( cortisone) at the moment and he is still bad. Aussielover Mason started showing allergy symptoms around 9 months, although before this he had constant tummy problems as a pup which we now know is food allergies as well as his allergies to pollen, dust, insects etc. Actually it is strictly true. Not all antihistamines work for all dogs, the only one that helps mine is Zyrtec, you cant try give a dog antihistamines and say 'oh well they did not help therefore it cant be an allergy" that is just not the case. Sorry i really disagree with you here. I have a highly allergic dog and this is the case for him. He has allergies, its been proven by blood and allergy tests - most antihistamines dont work for him - now that does mean he does not have allergies?? I dont think so. Aussielover loads of allergic dogs get staph infections - luckily for me my dog has not had one.

Mason always chooses cuz over isqueaks, he used to have a cuz Dexter the elephant which he loved to pieces ( he lost it in a swamp though) and now he has a bad cuz and he loves him more than the isqueaks. The new isqueaks seem a bit different?? I am with you Mas, the latest Isqueak rubber is definitely different. Rosie has had her old isqueaks for ages, but i gave her a new one a few times and the rubber around the squeaker is obviously weakened and stretched?? is that what you mean?? I just think they make a different noise and seem to feel like the rubber is a bit different? Mason has not played with his new one that often yet so i can't comment on durability yet but it feels and sounds different to me

Happy birthday for yesterday young man!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use an isqueak with my lab, he tends to break tennis balls real quick but the isqueak lasts, plus it does fit in the thrower if you squash it in.

They walk like drunken sailors!!

Once the xmas period is over I will have extra space and when I go to A & D i can always get you stuff but then there is the extra hassle of getting it from me :D Midland may be closer for you

I got a bargain on a brand new chest freezer (quite large, too), $50 from Kmart a year or so ago. Especially for the dogs! It's now just sitting in my parent's shed, need to get it to my house somehow! I got mine off a mate for $150! but $50 - you are lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to have no space in my freezer so I bought Mason a 150L upright freezer of his own :D I was going to try Black Hawk, but while Nutro is on sale I might buy a couple of bags. Though I can't seem to find anything that will reduce Ruby's poos!! (lovely topic, eh?) I need to retrieve my chest freezer from mum and dad's so I can start more raw feeding again. Millie did good on Nutro, but doesn't do good on raw. I think I'll be doing a combo effort... difficult dogs!! Edit: 10kg here would be gone in no time :p If I were you I would give Millie kibble and meat and Ruby can get bones and meat Got the most awesome bag of roo bones from A & D and they had goat meat today so now my freezer is busting at the seams, enough meat and bones in there for Mason for around nearly 2 months I think

I find that when I give Mason a big bone to eat he is very tired after it

When I get my act together :D Are A&D open between Xmas and New Year's? I want to go and buy stuff but it is so hard when I work! I want roo and goat, too. My girls used to love the roo tails and goat necks I used to get them from South St Pet Supplies. I suppose I could do another order with them. I think it's the fact I haven't got my freezer at my house yet that is really stopping me. Yes its open, just closed on the public hols I think....

Beef and chicken are out for us as well as anything with rice, wheat or gluten.... must admit I dont mind feeding raw though.

Thanks Because i am new to all this I was not sure if it was normal or not

I got a new lens yesterday, the other kit lens, Canon 55-250mm f4-5, I have taken a few shots just to mess around with the new lens and I have found that on the largest aperture it blurs the background out a lot more than the 18-55mm does. I like the effect but now I am wondering if maybe there is something wrong with my 18-55mm? Is this normal?
