  1. I am sure Paddy is going to love it!! Our class starts this sunday
  2. Landsdale looks like it is even further then K9! Will have to come one time, I know who you mean and it would be fun to see the 4 black retrievers all playing :p Ralley we can meet up to train one night closer to you and Tiggy though, dont know if I will be going to Landsdale every week so if you and Tiggy pick a time and a place which is central to all of us I am happy to meet up. ETA Landsdale is only 8 mins from me Ralley so I am sure it would not be that far for you??

  4. I am joining up with a lady in Landsdale tonight at the park there as the sports club have lights on in winter so it will be real helpful. Not sure if its going to be every monday but the reason we meeting up is I need someone to call rounds for me as I am not used to it and I need all the help I can get before the Classic!! Ralley you may know the lady from retrieving she has 3 black flatcoats?? She also does tracking.
  5. Yay Strauss!!!!! It must have been that massive jackpot on Sat after coming out of the ring ;) :p Are people heading to K9 tonight? I have my on monday night training group now, ( if 2 is a group lol) tonight it the first night, quite excited.
  6. How did Cider cut her foot? Is it bad? I am hoping that I get to have that newbie obedience pass feeling
  7. What I did is keep my pup on a lead when he was inside with the cats for the first week, he soon learned not to chase them etc
  8. I have a sulking dog, he looks so sad and depressed and the only thing I can think of is because he has not played with his mate Phoebe since he got the sores on his back. I am going to try and take him to do something fun today
  9. Our old mouser was 14 when she had to be PTS due to cancer Our cats get fed twice a day so that they don't disturb birds, but she was obviously still catching mice too as we are constantly seeing mice now and never did before! ETA: Our other cat is 17yo but she lives out the front of my house - which is a fair distance from the stables so she doesn't hunt down there regularly. Mine does not catch birds anymore but when we lived in Bayswater both cats hunted next door every night and always brought us mice and once got a huge huge rat - was the size of little Mowgli cat who weights 2,5kg lol!
  10. lol I have a mouser for Sarina, my cat who is 13 still catches anything that moves and is always hungry she is so active for her age, she is siamese x and I found her abandoned at an old riding club I used to ride at.
  11. Hi, I have had a lot of problems with Masons ears, the normal vets could not see anything but our dermatologist has a special machine that she looks through, its something a normal vet does not have but dont ask me the name. Mason had what they call a 'plug' quite far down the ear when we first saw the derm, thats cleared up now and he hardly shakes/scratches his ears but when he does its usually from allergies.
  12. I volunteer because I feel that everyone should do their bit to help their club as you get so much out, 18 months ago I got a puppy and had no idea how to train it and in a few weeks I am entering him in CCD Western Classic, my dog is 20 months old. Without my club ( and a few Dolers) I would have had no idea how to do this! Achieving stuff with my dog has given me a great feeling of pride, I had horses for 16 years but none of them enjoyed competing and so I stopped, my dog seems to enjoy competing!
  13. Lol but thats not fat thats toys etc - I had nothing in my pockets beside food in the left one ;)
  14. Thanks guys, I was also impressed at how focussed he was, his heelwork could have been better but seeing that it was his first time at K9 I was happy
  15. Thanks Ness, I have looked for a medium length one but I cant seem to find an inbetweener, my short one is too short for the ring and that one is quite long.
  16. Busy uploading to utube, once I have the link I will post it :D I think this is the link... turn the sound down, I have no editing software for the video as it was on my little laptop and not on the big one with photoshop, its just dogs barking the whole time!!
  17. Yes I would love another even just like that a few times a year just for practice, its awesome I really enjoyed myself!!!!!! If my numbers come back in time we will be entering the classic and working our butts off for the next few weeks!!
  18. Nope I'm not sure who is who Bondi enjoyed a night out, even if she didn't want to do obedience properly. She was very well behaved with all the dogs so I was happy with her Now off to bath my Sibe beast for today and tomorrows shows.. Aww man, I could have introduced you to them I thought you had met everyone already
  19. yes you will get a letter with yours and your dogs registration number, it takes a couple of weeks. Thanks Rusky, I looked for you at one stage last night but could not find you
  20. I dont use veg pulp I just feed fruit and veg along with his other stuff, is there a reason people pulp it?? Genuine question as I am really interested to hear why its fed pulped.
  21. Mirawee how did your CCD round go?? I was very happy with Mason, his ringwork was quite good, it was not his best work but it was his first time down at K9 in a ring so I have to take that into consideration. Our stays kind of fell apart but it was way longer than the 1 min sit stay he is used to so it was my fault I should have gone back rewarded and freed him off. At this stage I am thinking of entering him in the Classic , if the wheels fall off just before I can always pull him out, I sent my form off for membership but have not heard anything back, will I receive a letter with my number etc or what is the procedure?
  22. I'm comming down with Bon to watch Was great to meet you! Did you chat to any other DOLERS? There was so much on I hardly spoke to anyone for more than 5 mins!
  23. I worries about my lab coming back but he has his swim and comes back to shore, remember they wont be used to the ocean anyway and they will tire so they wont keep swimming even if they wanted to. The only time I have an issue with my lab and he still comes back to shore when he is tired, is that he follows people swimming parallel to the beach
  24. Lara has gone down hill over the last 6 weeks, we are seeing Deb on Tuesday to talk about where to from here. ;) Will be thinking of Lara and hope she gets well soon
  25. Yep I am down to 7 fingers after last night. Tell me do you ever feed your blonde one??? Mason also takes like a shark, I have done numerous things to try and get him to stop, the only way he does take nicely is if I say 'take nicely' before I give him something, I think its a lab thing!
