My dogs eye specialist is at swanbourne vets, they have generap practice vets too, the specialists vets daughter is a gp vet and she seems very nice, surname is chester, cant remember her first name tho, thry do have a website you can look at though.

That is very true and also its nice that they are going together they are litter sisters and have never been apart. One has cancer and one bad athritis

That's sad but good too. You have been saying for a while now that they haven't been too good. At least your Mum is having someone come to her home, that will be nicer for the dogs. Yes gabby hates going to the vet so it will be much better for them, and they have no quality of life anyway - no trips to park, no walks etc so its a sad sad life for them which is why I think they ages so much when I left.

My mum texted me today to say that my old dogs have gone downhill fast and she is having them PTS at home on thursday - I feel really guilty about not being there for them.

What's The Most Ridiculous Thing Your Dog's Been Called?
Mason_Gibbs replied to ~Rumour~'s topic in General Dog Discussion
I get asked if Mason is a lab to because he is not overweight - many people cant understand why a lab does not need to be obese. -
On another note Adele with Sooty had her baby on saturday!!!

Lucky girls!! I am also going to training tonight, been quite dedicated to my monday night training now - and with the Classic just a few weeks away we need to work our butts off!

I have a dog with atopic dermatitis and food allergies, before my elimination diet I swore blind that he was not allergic to food. Turns out he is allergic to beef, chicken, turkey, wheat, and grains and I have not even finished doing my sequential rechallenge at this stage as his allergies are just too bad at the moment. I would do the elimination diet, I did roo with sweet potato or pumpkin. We did this for ages and then we added beef back in, he got itchy by the 3rd day and then we only fed him roo and potato again for a fortnight and then tried chicken and he scratched on the 4th day. Some dogs only react after eating a food that makes them itch/flare by day 7 or so. We also found out that VAN makes him way worse so he does not get that anymore either.

The fire is still big and out of control, homes are now threatened in Brigadoon. Wind is blowing smoke right on to Ellenbrook so its making me nervous, it would have to jump a road and burn some of Swan Valley as well as Henley Brook and Aveley before it got to us but with this wind anything is possible!!

Yes i worked him 3x and he was good- he usually is at carine tho as we train there, just wanted to get him used to the trial atmosphere.

Most Effective For Flea Treatment?!?
Mason_Gibbs replied to rivergem's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have a dog that is allergic to insect bites, I have never seen a flea on him but the derm wants to keep it that way and so we were given Comfortis and then i use Permoxin on him daily which does flies and ticks. -
I went to the beach on wednesday and there were soo many ridgies!!! Could not believe it.

Looking forward to it

Can't really help I'm afraid as I just get mine the Big Dog or Dr B's patties and supplementary bones. I just pick up lamb ribs and chook necks etc when I see them at supermarkets. Mine are only small though so they don't get through too much Unfortunatly A & D are the only ones this side of the river that do Pet Meats. Oh wait there is a stand at the Wanneroo markets in Wangara, they do some mince and meat and bones but are more pricey than A & D and dont have as big a selection.

Yep I always liked Whippies but meeting Buzz tipped me over the edge, he is just beautiful! Such a confident little guy. Hopefully one day I'll get one! Trixie is off the pain killers - she definitely has her bounce back Trying to keep her quiet with mixed results. One foot is almost back to normal - the other still bad, the swelling seems to have caused the skin to split between the outside toe and the inner toes, I keep bandaging it but the moment I'm not looking she rips it off - if only she knew how much I paid for that roll of vetwrap! ;) Keeping an eye on it, if it gets any worse off to the vet again Poor Trixie, hope she is well soon!! Happy birthday Ososwift :D

I will see you there, taking Mason down to do some work in a trialling atmosphere lol.

Ideas On Dogs Sports For My Pointer
Mason_Gibbs replied to a topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
yes you have to have an assessment before your dog is allowed to start the 10 week beginner course :D Its basic things, all of it offlead. Your dog need to have recall and not run off while working next to distracting dogs and people etc.
