  1. Great news guys I GOT THE JOB!!!! My stressing is over, think thats why I got a migraine 2 days in a row!
  2. Your way is a sensible one ;) My current dogs aren't allowing much saving atm moment though. Luckily I won't be up for as much as Lab puppy either Trust me I have not saved one penny yet! Firstly I am not working so no money coming in from my side, then we are busy doing stuff for our Permanent Visa and I need around another $1200 to finish this, and then hubby crashed his car so there was the excess, and my old dogs in RSA are being PTS so I have to send nearly $400 over there so all in all its been a very expensive 4 weeks, I am really hoping I get a job soon or its back to cleaning for me, seems we just cant make it on one salary these days.... work may possibly be hiring again as ngihtfill has such a huge turn over if you are interested i work from 5pms come give me your resume and i will give it directly to the store manager and say your are interested in nightfill. just get the service desk to page lisa from nightfill they'll know who i am  Thanks Lisa, I will know tomorrow if I have this other job or not and its right here in Ellenbrook, if it turns out that I dont get it ( think they are looking for quite a few people so chances are good-ish) I will come in next week and give you my resume, thanks for the help though I do appreciate it
  3. There are loads of places in Margaret River that are pet friendly, I really wanted to take a trip in April but again if I am not working we will not be going!!

  5. NO medical insurance as GD covers all the medical costs of puppy raising, and technically she does not belong to me, so I would have been unable to get insurance anyway. Luckily, I am a vet student and vet nurse, so I get good discounts on treatment and no consultation or dispensing fees, if i go to the vet i work for. I know if this is an ongoing issue, she will end up being a very expensive dog! Yip, we spent around $4500 at the dermatologist last year with all the tests and 12 months worth of immunotherapy, sadly it does not look like the immunotherapy is really working for us...
  6. What did u buy?? A 15 kg bag of Nutro for Paddy. It's so far the only food that doesn't upset his tummy. But because he is so active I am giving him 3 or 4 cups of it a day so we go through a lot anyway. The special will save us $59 odd which can't be sneezed at! No thats a great saving!! Yes he is a lot more active than Mason was although remembering back at that age Mas went nuts at the park but at home was pretty lazy as he is now still!
  7. Great pics CC! Love the gorilla with the stick best
  8. If the dog is not already on insurance, getting it now won't cover skin problems as it is an existing condition :D I know thats what I am worried about for the OP!!
  9. I am saving my coins because lab puppies are sooo expensive! I know they have gone up since I got Mason, I must find out exactly what i am in for, and no job before april means no pup for me..
  10. Aussielover, is the dog on medical insurance? If you take her over if she wont be used for a GD will she still be covered on the insurance, if not and you keep her you are going to be in for a lot of vet bills, you probably know this already though :D
  11. I know in WA she would be taken out of the program. Here is my dogs schedule, no way I could see a vision impaired person doing it. Baths 2x a week with QV wash and then spray with diluted QV oil 2x a week ear wash Zyrtec 2x a day Pred when bad 1 x a day Fish oil Daily Evening primrose oil - daily Duoxo Pipettes weekly Insect repellent - daily Elocon cream on ear flaps and tummy when needed On top of this I check him daily for sores as he gets hotspots and sores on his paws if he licks them.
  12. Also wanting to save for pup being born june/july plus i'm unemployed at the moment.
  13. Yes I felt sorry for many of the animals there today, having seen many of them out in the wild the enclosures just seemed cruel ;)
  14. DO not use oatmeal, every dog is different and oatmeal sets my dog off big time and makes him itch like mad. I myself have never heard of a dog outgrowing allergies, my derm recons it gets worse and with my lab this has been the case.
  15. Generally no - but for UDX last Saturday I was a mess, the further we went the more my tongue got stuck to the roof of my mouth, my mouth was so dry and I was sure that when I went to give a verbal stand nothing was going to come out. Lol! I know that feeling. I think generally i will be ok until something goes wrong and then i will start to stress out and panic ;)
  16. Here are some of my attempts, none of them I am 100% happy with but we live and learn....
  17. Sorry CC, you see , my migraine brain is still in charge lol I read your first post and I did not read the next post, thought it was you again - oooppppsss

  19. And as for nerves, I even get nervous for club trials and show and go's so no idea how i am going to cope in a real trial, I find tho that as soon as I step in the ring I am better though, its just before thats the issue. Ptolomy and Bedazzled, do you guys still get nervous??
  20. Well I missed my monday training due to having a migraine for 48hrs - and this morning my dog worked as if he was a star, he was bouncy, enthusiastic and his heeling was so so awesome ( Ok people what did you do with my lazy lab and who is this doppelganger in his place!!) I was seriously shocked, he is always pretty good but this morning he outdid himself!
  21. It was good. But it was really just Australian animals and cute penguins I hope you did well at the interview! Having migranes are the worst Yeah migraines are awful, have not had in ages and then had one now for over 48hrs coming and going

As I got home though my migraine came back with a vengence, lucky I was near home or I would not have been able to drive, dont know how successful I will be having had to do the interview with a migraine!
