My allergy dog is always loosing weight and thats because he mainly eats roo and pumpkin as its what he does best on. I also give him pear or banana as a snack. Roo and pumpkin are very weight lose friendly Carrot like people recommended is also good, I also make mine ice blocks in ice cream containers with some blood from his raw mince - he loves it and its not fattening at all.

I have Petplan, they have been great with my allergy dog, without them I would have been roughly $5000 out of pocket last year. I am planning on getting a pup later in the year and he will also be on Petplan.

Yes we are lucky we have aircons in lounge, bedroom and dining/kitchen. No sea breeze here at night

Yes it is so hot already! My OH is on afternoon shift and only gets home after 11h30 so we have been sleeping late in the mornings, I am going to take Mason over the road to the park but dont see us doing much training wise. And evenings just dont get that cool anymore, was real hot until late last night up here, only got down to 24 overnight ...

Its a common problem, my 2 bitches were incontinent, 1 of the reasons why i went for a male and why i will prob get a 2nd male

My dog is prone to ear infections, I clean his ears 2x a week and I found out what foods he is allergic to and we have not had an ear infection for a year now ;)

Can you use food in the ring? ;) ;) Or is it strict like a real trial? I think at show n go's you can use food - I will be using food myself, the only time I wont have food on us is at our first real trial at the Classic

Well we started Mason on some simple retrieves tonight at training and he did really well, he is so enthusiastic about it, now I just need to teach him to hold stuff in his mouth at home

I am interested in retrieving but have no clue how to train it and I think Mason would be a bit too lazy to be bothered to fetch anything if he thought it was too far. May give it a go with the new pup if he is more keen though.

I feed Mason roo, lamb and goat both meat and bones and heart, liver and kidney when I can get ( only those 3 due to allergies) and then sweet potato, pumpkin, and broccoli or cauliflower. He also gets cheese, yoghurt and eggs and once a week some sardines. He gets fish oil and evening primrose caps daily. For snacks he gets banana and pear or paw paw when I can find it. My derm seems happy with this and I am sure she would point out if he was lacking anything ;) His stomach troubles are none existent now and he itches way way less.

Show n go on wed 23rd at k9, agility and obedience, who is going? We will be doing it as i need the practice for the classic.

My lab is a bit like this, he hardly listens to my husband but always does what I ask, I think he sees my husband as his playmate as he is always wrestling with him etc. If I am not here though my hsuband walks him and takes him to the park, Mason does listen to him but not as well as he does to me.

Grass pollens are a very common for dogs to be allergic to. My dog is allergic to most of them. Contact allergies are actually quite rare

I bought a "few things" yesterday at Coles and walked out $70 lighter! ;) My house and car insurance is due in April, bugger! Getting a new house and new car at the same time was not the most thought out plan Congrats!!!!! New puppy here you come Yes we will be getting the new pup, I am excited but also a bit scared, I dont want my relationship with Mason to change but at the same time I also want to make the newbie feel welcome and not left out I have had 2 dogs before but I got them at the same time so I did not really bond with one more than the other. I know how you feel and I felt the same going from just Rommi to Rommi and Lewis. But it was great, they are both different enough they enjoy different things, they get along well and i have one tha really loves training, the other one not as much so it easy to fit both in. I would happily add a third WhIppet and not be worried about that now. When I had the Dobes having two was difficult but I think a lot of that had to do with their personalities and the fact after time they ended up hating each other and jealousy was a huge issue. Whippets do not care about that - oh and you can easily fit two at a time on your lap for a cuddle Yes my 2 ridgies were difficult together, they fought and then could not be seperated as they loved each other so much, they were PTS today as one has terrible athritis and one cancer ( the one with cancer also had athritis but hers was not as bad) and they just could not live without one another and so both had to go together. Feel really bad for my mum who had to be there alone with the vet .

My OH saw my airbed the other day and wanted me to throw it out and buy a swag! I probably will one day, they do look a lot more cozy. Where are you camping R&H? We normally go to Koombana Bay caravan park, really nice!! Wild dolphins come in the bay across the road, no feeding, just watch them play in the water. Stunning. Thats where we are going if we can squeeze in. Are pets allowed at this caravan park?
