I'm feeling quite perky - cos after last year, I'm probably not entering a Royal again* :D So I take it it isn't a public holiday?! Booooo!!!!!! * Fineprint = RS is such a sucker that even after an embarrassing attempt at the Royal and swore she'd never do it again, she probably will.... Apparently not .... I just think there would be no way mason would focus there with so much going on but later in the year i may feel differently
-
Dont think i will do royal this year, think its a big ask for a very young dog

She probably sees barry as he is the only vet there, on a monday tho he has another vet working for him. Between mason and trojan his mortgage is probably paid off!! What problems has trojan had?
-
Yes it could be. My oh had bad sinus yesterday too. Not sure what vet your sister uses but barry at vital vet is excellent here in ellenbrook

Chatted to some people in the waiting room this evening while waiting for the derm and it made me very grateful. Their dog had spinal tumour and 2 ops have cost them $24k and dog must go to brisbane for radiation. Made masons allergies seem so insignificant in comparison. Their dog is paralysed for a few days after each surgery.

did you have insurance before he was diagnosed with allergies? Yes i took it out when he was a puppy

Is It Ok To Give Zytec For Allergies

With serious allergies antihistamines do little to help, my allergy dog is having a rough go at the moment and even on antihistamines and pred he is still scratching sores into himself. -
Allergies in people are on the rise too. I have great respect to people who deal with allergy dogs. It would be so heartbreaking at times! It is heartbreaking but also frustrating as sometimes u dont know whats setting them off!

Hi Sue & Cindy, I watched your clip a while ago but didn't have time to reply, so here goes. If you watch your clip you will see your dog interacts with the DB lots of times that you don't mark and reward, IMO she looks unsure as to what is being rewarded. You should read the steps over and over so your criteria of each step is very clear to you. You should also lift the DB everytime you mark her interaction with it so she cannot interact with it while you are getting a treat or what ever and not noticing what she does. The DB is not available to be rewarded until you represent it, she should be busting for the opportunitty to bump it again. You want her to be really excited to see that DB as that could be an opportunity to be rewarded. Also your reward marker could be quicker...YES not YEEESSSSSSS or use a clicker. The first time I used this method I had my chair next to the kitchen bench and the treats on the bench. so all I had to worry about was the DB and the clicker. Remember you should be getting 20 good solid nose bumps out of 20 before you move to the next step. From that clip, I don't think you are at the 20 nose bump step. Hope that makes sense and helps, you have most probably progressed since you posted that clip. Thanks for this-finally we have progressed and the handler is getting sorted out. After the above post I got 20 in a row of her moving to the dumbell and mouthing, Yes Mason was the same as a pup, anything in mouth = running off with it!!!! Have not done heaps of training this week as he is unwell atm with allergies plus yesterday was just way way too hot. When we train we are doing obedience mixed in with some retrieving Mas loves the retrieving

Yep that is good news. Speaking to the Derm on Tuesday - she would like to close her books because she is so busy and taking on an allergy dog means taking it on for life. She had seen 16 dogs before us on Tuesday . I hope you get him sorted. Yip she is very busy and i think the other derm is still on maternity leave and the other guy is not fully qualified yet.

Good news is that dermatology will squeeze us in at 17:30 today. Itchiness is not as bad but the flapping ears bothers me, 1 tip is swollen and worried he gets a heamatoma ( sp??) again like last time. There is also a little sore on it.

My lab gets 2 in morning and 2 in evening when he is bad. Take your dog to a dermatlogist, the vets i used messed us around while my new vet sent me straight to derm for allergy testing Eta my dog weighs 32kg -
I am with petplan $100 excess and i pay $41 a month, they pay for everything for my labs allergies .

Yeah I did that at one stage too, think I may need to start again. Pity its gonna be so hot today too. Maybe his allergies are worse because I am working now and he is outside for longer periods? Did you manage to get an Urgent Derm appointment??? When did he have his last immunotherapy jab? No they fully booked. Jab was 2 weeks plus ago...

After everyones good news we have bad news. Masons flare came right last week but is now back with a vengence, I have not seen him so itchy in ages, he has scratched a sore into his shoulder, has a sore on the tip of his ear and one on his paw, and he cannot stop scratching, I could hardly sleep last night. Then on the work front we found out yesterday there are too many staff for our store and so not everyone is going to have a job in awhile. Hopefully people who only want 2 days like me will get to stay. If not I will be job hunting again

I am quite confused, she thought it was giving her asthma but then found out she had stomach inflammation??
