I thought long and hard about this and for me because i enjoy competing i wont have 2 dogs close in age coz i wont be able to keep more than 2 dogs at a time and i dont want them both to be old together and then i am stuck with no dog to compete with. When mason is 3,5 i will start thinking about another dog. In all honesty tho i love my pup so much i doubt i could ever love another dog the same way and its a big issue for me.

What a stressful time for you Auto, you are in my thoughts, pls continue to update us. I know you are far from everything but if there is no improvement tomorrow i would try get the dog to some sort of specialist.

Any idea why?? Is she on new food??

If he can have fish chicken is prob ok but best to ask his vet i can not imagine what its like trying to get an animal to eat anymore, all of mine are pigs!! Only the sick cat was fussy in her old age... Wait as i am typing this i realize i am lying, my hubbys fat cat is the fussiest beast out!! He will only eat Purina one chicken and rice and ultimate feast meat - nothing else!!
-
That is difficult, what sort of foods are low protein?? I know everyone says roo is high protein but I am not sure which meats are low protein if any?? ETA when my one cat was very ill she would not eat ( she had kidney and liver problems in her old age) the vet gave us some tins of Hills, it can be mixed with water and you can even syringe it into them if you have to, but she loved it and ate it as is. I cannot think of the name now but they must make one for dogs too.

Obedience Triallers
Mason_Gibbs replied to africandreams's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I try do a couple of minutes a day but its not always the same stuff, sometimes its rear end awareness, sometimes i dont train obedience and we will train a bit of retrieving with a friend. The day of the trial i dont train at all and only do a few auto sits and maybe a sfe before we go in the ring. I have my second trial today. -
Obedience trial today - a little nervous as i am going on my own

My pup used to have what i called jelly looking poops and the runs but it turned out he had a food allergy , he had stomach upsets on and off from about 12 weeks if i can remember correctly -

Have a chat to Ang and see if you're allowed to do the social agility on Monday night? Shame you can't make it on Tuesdays for ACWA. It's always the way though, they know what to do but come test time, they fluff it! I remember Millie had the runs the night of her first assessment, she just kept her nose to the ground to find a spot to toilet. Poor girl. We scraped through the test then she exploded for the second time that night from the rear end! She was fine until we got there though... maybe the nerves got to her After her system was cleared, she was heeling beautifully Lol poor Millie!!!

Was wondering the same thing.... Will check back on my lunch break

Hope Scooter is ok P , these dogs will give us sleepless nights. Been meaning to ask how is Beans going with her changed allergy management??

Retrieving & Field Training Talk

He will fetch a ball but drops it just before he reaches me. I make him sit, hold the dummy in front of him and wait him out, click and reward when he holds it even a fraction.
