  1. Most probably the mri was suggested as u are not supposed to put anything down the ear unless u can see the eardrum, it can cause a lot of damage otherwise
  2. RS they will work out a dose so that she wont blow up, it will be a 1ml injection every 3 weeks, mason has the insect serum in his vaccine as his blood tests came back positive for insect reactions. If my pet insurance will pay for the immunotherapy i am sure yours will too. May be worth having a consult with the derm they the only ones that do the immunotherapy i think, just get your vet to refer you. You could even phone dermatology, speak to the nurses and explain what happens, they will be able to tell you if Ruby would be able to do the injections.
  3. Yeah Rubystar i worry heaps about Mason!! R there lots of bees near your place? Maybe speak to vet about giving her antihistamines daily, that way if u at work and she is stung it wont be as severe a reaction. You could also think about putting her on the desensitization injections as once she has been on them awhile her reaction would decrease dramatically.
  4. My allergy dog has food allergies and is atopic, his ears itch due to both i recon. Another problem he had was that he is allergic to the ear drops they gave us - it caused a big problem
  5. I use Malacetic ear cleanser, its the best. Epi otic stings!!
  6. Have u brought up the diet changes which could help the yeast etc??
  7. My dog had heaps of ear issues ( he has allergies too) luckily his cleared up with drops, diet change and i still use ear wash 2x a week. I would let the derm do it tho they are usually pretty good and if mine recommended it i would probably be doing it as i trust her.
  8. My dog had heaps of digestive issues as a pup, turns out he is allergic to chicken, turkey, beef, all grains - worst reaction he has is to wheat. The Hills ID did nothing for him except make his stomach even more upset. If I were you I would look at an elimination diet if it has been an ongoing issue.
  9. If its just a bug why do u want to feed bland for a few months??
  10. Stay safe in the storm guys, so glad i can be with Mason during the storm, after our mini tornado earlier in the year he is terrified of storms
  11. My dog is on 2,5mg a day for his allergies - hate using it but his quality of life is very poor without it
  12. Mason would have failed all of those except the carrying objects one as a pup, he was very ADD!!! And hyperactive
  13. Mason would have failed all of those except the carrying objects one as a pup, he was very ADD!!!

  16. Dont think he is too fit as he is not let offlead often as he does not recall and he is so quick no one can catch him lol He is walked for about 20 mins a day by his owners
  17. He is very very active and fast. We all think he is chi x italian greyhound. He has long legs in proportion to his body and is quite young. Probably 12 months or so.
  18. Thought i would add that he is a chi x and weighs around 3kg
  19. I have a friends small dog staying with me for 2,5 weeks in july and i was wondering how far - or for how long its ok to walk them. He will be walking with my lab so he has to walk pretty quick to keep up. ETA i have never had a small dog before so im pretty clueless
