This must be so hard for you. Praying for your dogs that they recover from this.

Hello, can anyone please tell me if the Wednesday evening classes at Bulla are happening at the moment please, and if so, do you just show up?

sorry, wrong thread :D

MAke sure everyting is clearly understood before going ahead. How far away does the breeder live? I would imagine you would get the dog at a reduced rate and that the breeder would pay any expenses involved in breeding him and travelling him to the bitch. Other questions to be asked could be how many times is he to be used, or for how long. Also is the dog to be shown and by whom?

What you have worked out here looks right, but if the dog had isn't that a total dose of 5mg?Confusing though as that would mean a 12.5ml injection which seems an excessive amount of fluid to inject.

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
Pippa replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
He doesn't look maniacal. I think he just looks delighted to be lucky enough to cuddle three beautiful puppies as part of his job. Great pic. Hope you are continuing along the long path to recovery without any hiccups Jed. Burns healing can take such a long time, and it must be hard and frustrating work to recover from your whole ordeal physically as well as emotionally. Hang in there, and keep us up to date please. You have so much support here. -
I imagine the wonderful Lilydale comittee will probably be too busy to have someone standing in the carpark all day supervising parking :D

Anaesthetic Reaction, How Common?
Pippa replied to Bundyburger's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Sounds like some sort of anaphylactic reaction to something they gave him. Talk to the vet who anaesthetised him and ask if they have any idea of what may have caused it. You WILL need to know for future anaesthetics. As a follow up he should have some allergy testing done involving the drugs he was given, to determine what caused the reaction. -
Qantas let you take the dog as excess baggage and anything above your 23kg is charged at 10 dollars per kilo. They also let you take the dog to the special baggage counter in the terminal, rather than as freight, which means less time in the crate, but this only applies to certain cities. Info is on the website http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/t...-pets/global/en Virgin Blue pets go as freight at a cost of 150 dollars. I don't think Jetstar take animals.

I am sorry you have had such a horrible thing happen to you but so many people here support you and it is very good to see you back again and getting better. Have you received all the money that people here have given for you? I hope it will help so you don't have to worry about money for a long time, until you can work again -
I'd tell the breeder what sort of personality I like in a dog, and what I plan to do with the dog and let them choose the best one for me. Have done that before and I got the perfect pup

Unless they choke on a chicken neck, I would think that so long as it goes down, they should be fine. The bone pieces in the necks are quite small, and once it goes down it will be digested as it passes through the intestines anyway. Most troubles happen when things pass through that can't be digested at all... And if they can't digest it ie. swallow before it is chewed properly, they will probably throw it up and start all over

Im glad they found a cause for the problem. Poor boy must have been so unhappy. Fingers are crossed that this will be the end of it.

Dogzonline is by far the best as you know the breeders are all registered and you don't have to worry about whether the papers have been been typed on an old typewriter and stamped with something bought at the local newsagency
-
petlink or dogzonline?

Are they are a registered breeder? Make sure you ask if the pups are registered with the canine council, cos papers can mean anything. They could just type up a few names and print it out and some people are none the wiser. And ask about health testing. I was researching cockers here for a freind some time ago and was talking to a breeder and they wouldn't answer questions about health testing and whether the parents have had DNA tests for the known diseases in the breed, so I avoided that one. I'd be sus if most pups are 800 and these ones are 500. What's wrong with them? Just remember not to skimp, and sometimes you have to pay the going price for quality, especially as this a family member you are buying and you want the best you can get. It would be awful to buy a pup that needed lots of vet care and would cost you more in the end. Save up and buy the best you can and PM the cocker people on DOL to get advice about who are buying from. Have you looked at the puppy listings on the DOL breed pages?

Nup. Breeding costs are in NO way covered by pet insurance.
