I will! He loves cuddles so much - seriously. My dogs are affectionate but they are aloof by comparison - Ollie's so snuggley and affectionate, it's adorable. He has also learned how to beg today! watching the video reminded me so much of my panto even more. I knew I'd have no chance but showed mr P the video with a "he needs a home" does he have a petrescue profile?

wow! awesome video and great work from you, well done! And well done Ollie too! I just wanted to give him a big hug!! Pls pass huggles on from me...

that cuddlehound pic... so adorable!

He reminds me a lot of my panto as a pup... her hair grew longer as she reached apx 18months, and much more fair since 5 or 6yrs, I got her as a GSD x. She's definitely not lappie (born before the first lappies in Aus had their first litter), but surely is a doppleganger) - most speculation say she is a mix of kelpie/husky/with only the insiest bit of gsd! super super food and ball motivated too, bless. I can see some gsd-ness in him though, not strong, but to me it looks like it. He sounds divine, love his gorgeous eyes! Good on you and lucky Ollie!

haha.. my girl would love the speed retrieve... used to race her and her friends at the dog beach fetching ball (they always shared nicely). I don't think she would go for the jump though, she doesnt like the splash.

if any of it meant there were less pups bred on farm with the hope for a good working dog, then the rest of the litter just killed for being 'just not right for the job', I'm for it...

hehe... my girl will snooze in her downstairs bed til we're ready, but as soon as we put a foot from the couch she's up and halfway up the stairs then waits with a pointed look like she is saying "come ON! it's BED time!" leading us towards bed... if one of us goes to bed early she will wait halfway up the stairs and lie on a step, peeking through (I might even have a photo)... she has to make sure we all make it to bed safely

Urgent Need For Foster Carers
Panto replied to Perry's Mum's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
PM - if I can help by way of making posters for the adoption of these dogs once they are well, pls PM me. Is it ok to share the postal address above with my own friends and colleague to ask for dog coat donations to be sent directly? Unfortunately can't provide temp or foster care, but if you're really stuck for a night or two, let me know by PM. I am within 10mins of Sydney CBD and sydney airport. -

Do You Have A Foster That You Regret Rehoming?
Panto replied to Staffyluv's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
I miss coop, he was a big boofhead but I couldnt help but smile with him around, even if he was frustrating sometimes. He went to an awesome home, better than I could have dreamed. oh that's so sad I hope he is in a great home now. It's good knowing she's in a great home. It also means you have ongoing capacity to keep on helping rescue. I think perhaps being so lucky as to land on her paws in your home helped make her the awesome dog she is - you let her true colours shine. :) -
aren't they missing a step where they police fines for dog owners leaving poop? must be too much work to actually enforce that one... so I wonder what makes them think they'll make another enforcement... yes, the eye roll is deserved for the white collar workers thinking up this genius plan. clap clap

awww bless! great to hear they have a wonderful new home! and big big thanks to Ella for the undertaking of driving them to their new home..! ... wow! *bless*!! -
How confident are you that he won't turn nasty? If he can be that careless, be careful he doesnt have enough of a mean bone in his body he wouldnt do something to accidently harm your dogs, there are way too many idiots out there to be poking the fire. Return whats his if you must, but keep your focus on your own dogs and things that make you happy. He's not worth it.

The writing on the plastic tags can be saved if you can place a little bit of stickytape directly over the writing, before putting it back inside the plastic sleeve of the plastic tag. You can also write directly on the back of the plastic tag with a laundry marker (and sticky tape that too).

How To Attract Foster Carers
Panto replied to honeybun's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
+1 These two. When I was looking to foster, the first thing I did was just go with a group I had heard about since I was young. I gave them 6 months to get back to me, and was asked more than once or twice to 'fill out my form' again. They also wanted me to pay to be a foster carer which I was happy to do and persisted, but after submitting my form yet again and waiting to hear back (after speaking to them on the phone), I started to look around because I felt that in the time it took for them to get back, I could have easily fostered one or two dogs. I did my research over the internet and found a comprehensive foster carer's website with good testimonials from foster carers as well as adopters, and a little something about the rescue approach. I went with this group, and they called me back that afternoon, with very prompt followup on the form I returned. I no longer foster for personal reasons, but help this group out (and others) whenever I can. -
This got me curious as I have been thinking about purchasing a memory foam mattress. A bit more discussion here and here.

Cat Thrown From Bridge On To Moving Car
Panto replied to Panto's topic in Dog Cruelty and Abuse News
suppose the 'body' of the cat would suggest that, still taking it in for a microchip. sounds like it would have been a long shot that it would have been microchipped.
