I feel so bloody lucky; Two gorgeous whippets, and the best whippy photographers in the world at the funnest run day ever. Damn these photos are fabulous. Love Ty bringing back the lure... he does that with his sister. Sister gets the ball, he tackes the sister and brings the ball back to us as proud as punch. Kirislin, You're a champion, they're fabulous shots. I've facebooked them all (though none of my 'facebook friends' seem to properly appreciate the beauty of whippets). I recently acquired a lumix g2. And like the ad's on TV suggest, it takes far too nice photos considering my appalling lack of skill. In feb, would be nice to get some advice from someone who knows what they're doing. I have the kit lens. Do you suggest I purchase a better zoom b4 next meet?

I have read that because whippets have such thin skin, and because they're going so fast, even a gentle nip at high speed can do some pretty serious tearing damage. It's quite an extraordinary thing to see whippys at a run day. They're normally amongst the quietest of dogs, but as they approach the starting line they're whining and yapping and howling and barking. It's hard to believe until you see it. I really could imagine our dogs, who have long been patient and gentle with our 4 yo daughter, actually get so excited that they might bite.

What gorgeous photos! Evolving, you got some lovely ones of our boy Ty and girl Tilly. Love them! Our family had a lovely day today, I really hope that the club goes on because it has such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere about it. Kudos to all

I just love that photo. Tyson really surprised us. Tilly will run all day chasing balls while Tyson will just stand around looking handsome. But at the fun day Tilly was all over the place and it was Tyson who really focused on that lure. It makes me a bit worried about a christmas kitten!
