I have talked to my parents about this and in the event something were to happen to me, they will take the cats and dog. I know they would be well looked after and loved. I wish my DH could care for them, but he is a paraplegic with me as his carer so it wouldn't really be feasible.

I grew up next to a GSD, I always wanted one. Then my first dog as an adult was a GSDx from the pound. Now I have my third(though she is not a shining example of the breed) and I want another!

What about teaching some new tricks to mentally engage her: paw on nose etc, etc? Maybe scattering her meal in the yard so she has to sniff to find it (if that's not too much walking?) I wish you the best of luck, my girl has recently had a soft tissue shoulder injury and drove me mad being cooped up And if all else fails, some bones to gnaw on or stuffed kongs for some respite for you!

I only feed my girl human grade and she has never been healthier.

I use a mixture of white vinegar, salt and a tiny bit of dishwashing liquid. It works well as long as there is some sun on the weeds.

Currently GSD and I am aiming for another in the next year or so! Would love one day a Dutch Shepherd or a Malinois and maybe a Corgi

CHAMPION Canine Seat Belt System I've just ordered one for Pele. I'll let you know what I think when I get it I like it because there are no plastic clips bearing weight, padding on the front and wider straps. I'm really interested in these belts but am a little worried about ordering after seeing a post on a different forum about the poor customer service by the company that makes and sells them. I know you listed other meds you have tried but it just made think of my father who also has intra ocular high pressure. He is on this medication (was on just Timolel) http://www.drugs.com/combigan.html. I have no idea if it would do anything to alleviate headaches for your dog but just thought I would throw it out there in the hope it may be of some use to you.

I have asked a few butchers locally (one even called their supplier for me) and have been told it is not legal to sell it unbleached. It has to be fit for human consumption = bleached or white
