Congrats! They are perfect! I'm a GSD girl but I think Rotti pups are the cutest puppies ever  -
Average Price Of A German Shepherd?
bianca.a replied to angelnkids's topic in General Dog Discussion
I totally agree with this! Apart from the cuteness factor I could easily bypass the puppy stage altogether! Wishing you all the very best with your new addition, GSDs are the best (another biased person here!) -
Glues Safe To Use For Ear Taping

Sheppup, you know we will need pics! -
My lay-persons experience. My dog has turned into a storm phobic shaking, freaking out mess. I have given her Xanax to try and help( it didn't help so off to the vet again) and I AM working with a behaviourist too. I take anti-depressants etc and if my dog needs some sort of medical intervention to help with her fear then you can damn well be sure she will get the help she needs. I fail to see how it is any different. If the help (hopefully) is available then to me, I would be neglectful not to utilise it. Be it medication, behaviour modification, desensitization or a combination.

Glues Safe To Use For Ear Taping
bianca.a replied to Sheppup's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Aww thank you Mim! :) To be honest I was a bit upset at first that her ears didn't stand (She is the first non-spca special dog I've had!) but now I really think they make her who she is...a clown! And the bowl is the cats! It's the only one the super pup doesn't tip over when he tried to swim in it  Sorry for straying off topic Sheppup, yep your vet is wrong! My vet laughed when he heard I had glued Mollys ears! Will pm you. And thank you for the compliment :) -
Thanks again Mita! Thanks for that link Aiden. Our weather has been surprisingly good today and Molly is apart from now when I let her outside to toilet. She will do her business and then when I call her to come in she tries to slink away and hide in the gardens. It's really weird and doesn't matter if Cooper is out with her or not. I have tried to bribe her with yummies but she is totally disinterested. I am just pleased she is only 28 KGS and I can pick her up and carry her! Any ideas please?

Hehe I can only imagine! If mine was a sharper tool (in the shed) she probably would have done similar  Link that does mention increased appetite! http://www.petplace.com/drug-library/alprazolam-xanax/page1.aspx

That is really interesting Mita! Could it be perhaps that your dogs aren't phased so that influences her? It would be just my luck that now we have the pup (who didn't raise a sleepy eyelid) that she is the opposite! I did actually contemplate chucking her in the car and going to visit my parents but to be honest I didn't really want to drive in that weather. Perhaps next time, I could take her next door and see how she goes. She plays with the Lhasa Apso (sp) all the time and he does not stress about thunder etc.

Thank you all so much for responding, I really appreciate it. Blackdogs, yes she was too stressed to eat, wouldn't even take the peanut butter coated pills. I tried to do some OB with her nd the pup but she was just glued to me. I tried to go to bed about 12.30 and I think the poor girl had the munchies! I shouldn't laugh but she was desperately trying to break into the cats room to get their food! So at 1am she had a meal and then she stopped trying to bust in. Then she wanted to go out, it was pouring and windy. I took her out and she wouldn't come in (sitting in the plants) so I picked her up and carried her in. Kirty, that is a good point thank you. She did not act any worse after the pills though but I will ask my vet. I think I will make a vet appointment for Monday to check her out, and see what I can do.

Thank you :)

She cried in her crate (hasn't done that since she was a pup) so she is back on the couch, but not on me! Thanks Jumabaar. I will take her to the vet on Monday, somebody else mentioned it could be the start of a thyroid issue? I only called into the vet this afternoon and it was a locum there.

Cooper at 6 weeks At 8 weeks (and I was a bit worried...see last pic of my girl  ) And ever since they have both been up, now 18 weeks

Wow these are amazing! I might have to take DH's point and shoot underwater camera and have a play!

Glues Safe To Use For Ear Taping
bianca.a replied to Sheppup's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi, I have a partially used bottle of Tear Mender you can have if you like. I left it too late to try and glue my girls ears : -
Thank you both, I appreciate it :) I didn't even think of putting her in her crate. I will put her in there now.

Does anybody have any suggestions please. I am sitting here trying to type with my 2 year old German Shepherd on my lap. We have storms here and she is shaking like a leaf and panting hard. She has had 3MG of Xanax (as per vet) and I have a T-shirt on her (tight). I don't know what else to do. She never used to be bothered but we had a big storm on Wednesday and she freaked out then. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated please.

Sorry I have nothing to add to help but just wanted to say I hope whatever the problem is, Mica recovers fast.
-
Molly is free inside (well except for the room where the cats food is!) and Cooper the Pooper (puppy) is inside in his crate.
-
Wish I was in a position to help
-
Thank you :) She is so lucky to have you!

No totally related but there has been a council officer (?) at North Shore beach of late handing out fines.

Oh wow she is beautiful! Sorry I don't know anything about her, was she born blind?
