  1. Thanks! The Giants are Giant Schnauzers :) Thank you! I did wonder if they were but after reading some threads, I thought I'd better not assume!
  2. I love these thread too Molly's puppy photos aren't on my laptop but here is Cooper at 8 weeks.
  3. Awesome photo's! She looks like she had a great time She's so cute :) Please excuse my ignorance, but what breed are the 'giants'?
  4. My German Shepherds, yes they are meant to be that size, they are not meant to be huge. (NB: Miss Molly just scrapes into the standard height wise).
  5. This. I kept checking until early in the morning, hoping against hope. Thank you
  6. Thank you all :) I will order the waggle ones tomorrow and will get some for Molly too. She got spooked by something today and lost it going around the corner Thank you Puppy Sniffer, after having to change Coopers dressings daily for over 2 weeks, he hates tape on him so I am trying to avoid that. He is going to look so 'spethal' with his Dogleggs and socks on
  7. Thank you so much Coogie :) My little brat can take his Dogleggs off so I imagine he will get these off easily too  I did look at boots as well but spotted these so think I will give them a shot first.
  8. It's good to hear he is sleeping :) Yup, down the throat. Although when Cooper had the worst gas from anesthesia, I would just smear a bit of peanut butter on it and he thought it was a treat! I know in the US you can get dissolvable strips that you just put on the dog tongue but I haven't found those here. Hoping Oscar has no more issues and no more scares for you.
  9. Snap! :) Activated charcoal or de-gas works too :)
  10. I keep activated charcoal on hand (and in the car)! Molly started bloating last year and it was an ER vet visit. She was uncomfortable and would flop down and then 10 seconds later get up and find another spot. Repeat, repeat. Her tummy felt a bit tight but not too bad. Her gums were fine and I called the vet to let them know I was coming. He said I could give it half an hour of monitoring her (I lived 5 mins away from the vet) but she seemed so pained I drove there straight away. She had a huge vomit just as I pulled into the car park. I believe the charcoal can give you a few minutes extra basically and also if it is just an upset tummy it will help.
  11. Hi all, My 9 month old GSD has had ongoing issues with Hygromas on his elbows. The right one has had multiple drainings and then drains inserted for 2 weeks. He wears Dogleggs too. We have recently moved into a new house and while there are some carpeted areas the majority of the flooring is polished floorboards. He tends to get a bit excited at times and his big muppety feet slide out from under him. I just noticed while I was checking his elbow (it's a nightly ritual  ) that his left has fluid on it. I assume he must have slipped and knocked it. So has anyone tried these or something similar please. Thanks in advance for any thoughts :) Oh I should add that I would put down mats or runners but my DH is in a wheelchair and it makes it too hard for him. http://waggle.com.au/power-paws-b44/non-slip-dog-socks-p604
  12. When Cooper had his second vacination he developed a minor reaction too. My vet notifed Virbac and Animal Health (not sure of the name but I have the letters from them somewhere if you need that info). I didn't do his last vac and titered him instead (levels fine). He was also the only one from his litter to have a problem. I gave him probiotics and then used homeopathic Sulpher, Thuja and Nuc Vomica if you are open to that?
  13. My 3 year old girl did this as a pup, she grew out of it :) Wishing you have the same outcome!
  14. I'm so sorry she is still having issues. I know that must be so worrying *hugs*. Just a thought, have you tried her on probiotics?
  15. JackieW, I am so sorry I haven't replied earlier. We moved down to Vic and am on pre-pay internet at the moment so not online much. I will pm you now :)
  16. If Maroochydore isn't too much of a drive, Maud St (Retief Botha) is the best vet I've ever used. He went out of his way for my animals and I wish I didn't have to find a new one down here.
  17. This! But it's worse with Molly as she has soft ears so I get the "Is she part German Shepherd". With Cooper "Is he a Kelpie/ or Kelpie X".
  18. Wonderful news, I hope Raymond has the most perfect life in his new home Just a question about the pool, do greys (in general) like swimming? for you.
  19. I debated adding a second as well, although in the past I had two at the same time. For me I was more worried about the extra work (exercising, training). I really don't think Molly could be without her little partner in crime now. Yesterday Cooper spent the day at the vet and she sulked, wouldn't eat her breakfast  But there is the additional costs too, food, wormer's, vets etc. And also if you have a vehicle big enough for 2? Good luck with your decision :)
  20. Yep my 2 do this, it seems to be an after dinner nightly event!
  21. Awesome news! Hope she heals super fast Now you can breathe :)
