KTB - I hope you find a home for blossom, she is a beautiful dog! Wuffles - Satch looks like hes trying to hypnotize us, dont look into his eyes!! Unfortunately Jett isn't good with cats which is dissapointing as he looks like such a lovely boy! Hopefully he finds a new home soon

Ok, I've returned from a period of lurking Hopefully I wont go back into being a lurker for too long after this! Was that a freight train or a dog you were filming?! Think you need to see a specialist about his snoring problems My cat can almost rival the loudness of that snoring. Sometimes i have to nudge it just so i can get a moment of silence and get it to stop!! We have hit a little bit of a snag in the search for a puppy. While trying to convince an unwilling family member, we hadn't replied to the breeder for nearly two weeks and they since sold their pups , which is disappointing but was entirely our fault! So the search continues!

Yeah, obviously caring for a puppy is a huge responsibility but once the dog reaches adult hood the rewards for putting in the hard yards early on in the dogs life are enormous. Although it may be frustrating at times, as the dog gets older you will look back at the time you spent caring for it as a pup and feel so proud of yourself and its a great achievement having such a loving and well mannered dog

My dad had a border collie when he was growing up, but it will be the first time the rest of us will have a dog. Max and elbie look very similar, i keep thinking that your DP is of Elbie

Not yet, i really want to read and research as much as possible before we get one so i am prepared for everything. We will probably contact some breeders some time in the next couple of weeks ! Its so exciting looking at all the pics of other DOL members bc's and kelpies Does elbie spend much time alone during the day and whats he like by himself?

Would you be able to direct me to where the BC threads are situated and if its not to much to ask, a list of some of the BC breeders on this forum? Once again, sorry to hijack! Much appreciated!

Koalathebear, i love reading about Elbie! Although i don't have a dog myself (2 cats), i am hopeful of getting a Border Collie in the near future. Elbie looks like such a good boy and looks really well trained! You have done a fantastic job training him so far, keep up the good work! :rolleyes:
