Bulla Autumn Extravaganza... Results :)

Well I had a great weekend. Byron was BOB both days which was great, got $1 for each breed entry today which was lovely. There were mixed feelings about the format of the show & most enjoyed being able to watch the groups, something you rarely get to do. The general feeling seemed to be that it was great to see the dogs that do well at breed level but don't always get through at group. Expecially nice for the rarer breeds that don't always do so well at group level. The committee worked hard & ran a great show. I hope people continue to support it in coming years. Given that this was the first time this format has been tried, it will only get better as they tweak it for future shows. I for one get sick of people complaining about Bulla. Whether we agree with going to Bulla or not, we are there now & I say, get on with it & stop complaining because it's not going to change anything. Baby Puppy in Show was the Golden Retriever again, go Toby!!!! An absolutely stunning puppy!!! -

Baby Puppy in show... Golden Retriever. Couldn't stay for BIS so will wait to hear results. It was a good format in that everyone got to watch specials, but oh do tiring, makes for a very long day. -
Let's see if I can get this right.... Group 3 BIG & Open - GSP RUBIG (also Open) - ESS BABY - German Wirehair MINOR - ESS PUPPY - Golden Retriever JUNIOR, INTER & AUSBRED - somewhere in here there was a Gordon & a Flat Coat, sorry.

I remember that swamp so fondly... running around the ring in full waterproof gear with mud up to my knees, potato flouring my cream Golden Retriever (who kept turning brown) between each time he went in the ring. I would do it all again though as he loved it & earned himself a 25 point BOB with an entry of 30 Goldens to get his title. Sorry, Capanash just brought back a great memory. The grounds are the best I have ever been to, not undercover, but you will enjoy them.

Grooming A Stafforshire Bull Terrier For Showing

Ok I want a wash n wear now!! -
Will the Friday Corowa show stay open until Monday also?

Hi Ellz, easily put up by one person. I put mine up on my own probably 98% of the time. They can be a little stiff to start with, so if you have difficulty, peg one leg down to stretch it out. Once they loosen up, I just get under it and push the middle up to spread it out.

the one in BCF is an OzTrail. I looked at it, opened the box & got it out to double check & OzTrail seems to now be making 2 different types of OzTrail Compact Gazebos, the standard good quality one (which also folds up smaller) and a cheaper version that is called something like Compact Market Gazebo. The catogue just says Compact Gazebo which is why I looked at it.

I was looking for a new compact gazebo last week when I saw the BCF one. I nearly bought it & I am so glad I didn't. Open up the box & get the gazebo out before you buy it. What they are advertising as the compact gazebo is in fact a cheaper, less strong product. The original OzTrail compacts come in a powder white frame, the one at BCF (compact Market Gazebo) is made out of a cheaper & what looks like thinner & less strong grey frame. I decided it was worth spending the extra to get the one that could withstand the wind we often get at dog shows. Not sure but I would think the one at Harros Scarf may be the same.

Thanks Kate.

Does anyone pretty please have a catalogue for the Friday evening show at Cohuna (Cohuna & District Kennel Club) and the Saturday afternoon show (Kerang & District Kennel Club)? I need numbers for goldens if you do. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

not necessarily so. It's the same numbers for both days so you will get a few of those that have only entered one day but their numbers still remain in the other show if you know what I mean.
