  1. Hi Everyone, sounds like a very fun day! So many dogs which is great. We have never attended your Kepala Day but my husband and I would love to come on Sunday with Kosmo, our 10 month old King Charles Cavalier. Can someone please fill us in on what the go is with food - what we need to bring etc. Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday Kosmo will be very excited! Nat and Jeff
  2. My bloke was the same at 14 weeks. We also suspected UTI, but it wasn't. Basically just him getting over whatever it was - it takes some time. I think when the training is so new, and he has a pain in the penny, toilet training goes out the window. Sounds like you have the eating going better - use an eye dropper to get water into him if he's still got the runs and not drinking. I'd be more worried about dehydration now. (Although if the stools are covered in mucus and its getting worse then I wouldn't let that situation go on long without another vet check) I bet after the next jab he's flying.
  3. Hi! Sorry I ve taken so long to get back to you.. We are thinking of coming to Kepala on Sunday and I saw on the thread that you may be there also so if it all works out our pooches can meet up there We have a full weekend so I am just trying to work out Sunday but hopefully we can make it.
  4. Kosmo loves a nice tasty snail. Maybe its the canine equivalent of the crackling on a Pork roast? Personally I find dogs chewing on 'their own stuff' far more disguisting, so was fairly comfortable with snails. I'll stop him if I see it, but there is very little you can do because snail bait is such a no-no.
  5. How would Buffy go if we met up and walked along on the walking path at Brighton Beach? I to have heard good and bad reports about Brighton Beach. Kosmo is not good at all off the lead but loves walking. Would Buffy settle if we were walking or would she just want to play? Doesn't necessarily have to be Brighton, I am sure most beaches have a great walking path.
  6. Hi, we are in Chelsea, not sure where you are but by the sounds of it we aren't close A play date sounds nice, but unfortunately Buffy has almost no recall so I can't take her to offleash parks. What's the name of the park near your place? Maybe you can take your puppy to Kepala, lots of friendly dogs there, but of all different sizes, I'd say more on the medium to large side. We meet up on a Sunday once a month. If you know of somewhere that's fenced without aggressive dogs, I'd be more than happy to bring Buffy out for a play. Hi, your dog is beautiful! We take Kosmo to Bicentennial Park in Chelsea but we are going there less and less due do an aggressive dog that has taken a dislike to Kosmo and he seems to be there a lot. Kosmo can't be trusted off lead either. I did look at the Kepala thread which looks good but my only concern is that Kosmo gets a bit frightened around larger, extremely playful dogs. We have been to Kepala and it's a great place. Not sure of any enclosed play areas nearby, I am thinking with the nicer weather hopefully just around the corner I would like to get together with whoever is keen for a walk and play (on lead) at a park or beach side. Not sure what your thoughts are on this? Nat

  8. Hi, We have a 9 month old Cavalier King Charles who just loves playing with other dogs. I am keen to meet people with small to med size, non aggressive dogs. We live near a dog park but have had issues with other dogs being to aggressive and trying to bite. Would love to get together on a Saturday and let the dogs have a play. Anyone interested? Nat and Jeff
  9. Any idea what is in a 'bull chew'? It could just about be the dumbest question ever, ie Bull, but how would you know? They sell them at the pet store near the Melbourne market and my Cav loves them. Any other recommendations for Cav's to keep their teeth healthy? (My wife seems to have taken a stand against real bones.....don't ask)
