I tried three who where uncontactable (tired quite a few times over a a few weeks) couldnt get hold of them and i wont mention the names of the other two but one did have a litter ready the other was due for a litter soon. He is desexed im a firm believing in desexing that and i dont want to deal with a litter of puppies i just want one anyway i would prefer a boy. I attempt to let the breeder know about me on the phone but they arnt very interested in where the puppies going. I am willing to wait for a puppy because im quite choosy about where i want the dog to come from i want to know the health of both bitch and stud i want to know bloodlines not because i dont want a puppy without any history of probs cause thats asking the impossible but because i wanna know what im getting. I wont buy a new appliance without searching for most of the times a few weeks but on occasions months so i definetly wont by anything living without having that sort of knowledge. I know there is still one more breeder on DOL who i have not attempted to contact and the three i couldnt get hold of but seriously with all of the conversations i have had i just dont want another one because i wont be able to hold my tongue after this mornings effort that person was the next one my list this morning but after the first i couldnt believe what i was hearing this person also only had female left and when i was talking to her she seemed ok to begin with then the convo went on and i was seeing cracks in her story then when i said well i really want a boy can i leave you my contact details for any upcoming litters she offered to severely discount her female if i took it i said no. My question is more is there a nationally database because the state councils seem to have quite a few of these, I just didnt ask properly because i was cranky and frustrated at how unbelievable it has been.

For what seems like forever i have wanted a Neapolitan Mastiff, I live with my partner his 2 children and my partners 11 year old Mastiff X and we have another baby due in 7 months. Before i came to live with my partner he was given a pure mini foxie who constantly dug under the fence (not the breed for my partner to much of a houdini) The last time he did it he got bitten by a snake while he was out and passed. This was upsetting for the kids and especially his best bud the mastiff x, we have eventually decided to get a new dog and after showing my partner the Neapolitans he is in love with them too and we have decided to get one of those specifically a blue. So i began ringing and emailing breeders and am disgusted and frustrated at what i am finding after months of doing this i reached my boiling point this morning after speaking to one so called reputable breeder who i found through one of the councils. I have asked all the questions to each person i have contacted health none really want to answer, one in particular i asked a health question she said she couldnt tell me about the stud i would need to contact the stud owner so i did the stud owner was not registered he was mearly a backyard job which means no papers or atleast real ones for the pups. Another who informed me that breeding them was AWESOME (her words) because this is how much you charge for a pup which means i make this much of each pup so i should get a female that was in response to me asking about males instead of females and she only had females left. I am at my wits end and am about to go overseas and spend alot more money just to get the pup i want because the only person who has come across to me as reputable is a woman from america who spent an hour answering every little question i had about her bitch, the stud and the pups. How can i find a REAL ethical reputable breeder in australia so i do not have to go over seas, I have gone through the state councils, I never answer an add in the paper or one of those puppy webistes full of mixes i have gone through dogzonline and other such pure bred websites but im coming up with nuthing but rubbish.
