Jules you can also try this open a photo(i pinched one of Karma sorry :D ) then make a copy, when the copy pops up click Ctrl+U (this should make the pic black and white). The to the copy add a mask (the little box with a dot in it on the layers) select a brush and black paint and paint what you want shown in colour. Simple

If I had this pic of Tessa yesterday it would have saved me looking for other pups to use. Either way I think Tessa suits this shot better

wow I just tried what you suggested Chloes Dad and what a difference. Sadly I closed the picture without saving first so I will have to try it with something else soon. Need to go and get a coffee now and stretch my poor arm :p

Ok thanks Chloes Dad. I use photoshop 7 and/or photo studio 5.5 depending on what I am doing as I haven't mastered either yet and only know diferent bits of each Off now to try a new trick :p

sorry Risyntira I didn't mean to try and out do you It takes time to find angles that change the pic just a little which is what I did. Oh and I also had to edit it a little as I left the human leg in the pic and it made the dogs leg look wonky

Not sure what your colour preference is but this can be changed if you like
