Oh I understand it's a discussion, but it's veering off into other territory, ie: whether someone wants their dog to be neutral and what neutral really means etc. Questions like the one you've posed seem much more relevant. So, to answer your question, no, I don't want my puppy class to be an uncontrolled free for all, that's why I chose train a pup here in perth. I think puppy class is a chance for the dog to learn how to play with other dogs, but most importantly, it should give the owners some insight into dog behaviour. ie: what to look out for during play, what's acceptable, what isn't, grooming, handling etc.

Guys , can we please get this back on topic? I'm sure there's a lot of puppy owners out there, like myself, who just want some info,guidance and maybe answers to questions they may have in regards to socialisation. Thanks

Thanks for starting this thread PF. I'll be following it closely. I'd love to socialise my dog more (he's 15 weeks), but, considering 1) he's in a fear period and 2) I'm a noob when it comes to spotting what is and isn't "appropriate" behaviour from other dogs, I'm very wary to. Harps has already been to puppy pre school, and he did really well there, but I'd like him to learn how to behave around other adult dogs. It's finding a neutral dog that's the problem for me.

1.Oh I never scold the little guy, it isn't his fault. 2.I never use bleach on the floor, only on his fur. It's my "secret" to keeping him super white! :p 3.I try, but he's a weeing ninja. I'll turn my back for a millisecond and WHAMO...puddle on the floor. He's getting much better now though.

Thanks for the tips guys :p Have been using the warm water and vinegar, but am hating the smell ( Like it on my chips, not so much on the floors) Will give the bio zet a shot. ( hopefully not for too much longer!)

Can any of you give me suggestions for a good cleaner (homemade or cheap store bought ) to clean up urine off the floorboards? I've been using natures miracle, which has been great, but it's a bit on the expensive side. TIA

It should be a naked photo of Bear Grylls drinking his own urine, with a caption of " I'd rather drink my own piss wear fur than star in a PETA commercial". I get the whole money=power thing, but power to do what? Power to put down over 80% of their rescues? Money to spend on advertising to show the world how fantastic they are?t I don't actually think this is degrading to this particular woman. I'm really sick and tired of PETA TBH. Why don't they just call it and say that they're trying to use sex to sell/advocate their cause? I don't see them using fit,healthy men to promote vegetarianism/veganism as a healthy lifestyle. The $5 to enter their site is ridiculous. I agree with you. It does sound like your paying for nude photos, ( well, actually, you are ) and I don't think that the message that they're trying to convey, is going to get across very successfully. Love these action shots, particularly their faces..so funny. How do you all get your pics so sharp? After taking 50+ photos, (practice practice practice!!) Here's one of Harper : OMG, I think I'd shit myself if I saw one of your dogs running towards me Newfsie! ;) How did you all add your photos so that they're larger and without the black border around it? Have had a look around, but couldn't find anything on it.

I've got a small one for my puppy, and it's fantastic. Very easy to set up and the pockets are very handy too. Highly recommend them.

Sorry I didn't write back straight away, I've been dog tired.. Any who, I digress. He did quite well at lunch and the following meals. This morning i just held his collar gently and he settled, let go just slightly and as soon as he looked at me i said "OK!". So he's getting the idea..slowly. Does it make a difference that he can see me preparing his meals? The kitchen overlooks the back deck, and he's back tied on to the table. mumof5, nice work!!
