  2. what a great outcome for her, thankdog u came to her rescue
  3. I use advance and raw diet, have been very haoppy with the dogs since putting them on advance active and always get comments at how healthy they look. chop gets 250gm meat and a scoop and half of kibble a day , 2 if he has been really active
  4. this thread is and I know ppl that tried the pineapple wit no success, suppose it depends how much they like poop mine tend to like horse , which I don't mind, but from time to time they find cat and I almost as I tell them off thankfully no dog poop eaters here .do you think it could be diet , curious to know what the poop eaters eat for food apart frompoop
  5. it sounds very far fetched or over exaggerated, esp that kids will do the stoning
  6. ty for replies, think I will off to bed while they are alseep , incase i need to get them to a vet in the night , hopefully tats not needed , chopper has had KC before, it is gizzi i worry about .
  7. I got it for chops as he was coughing bad and I thought I'd give it to him to help the cough, when I got home from work gizzi is a bit snuffly , both are ok atm asleep, so not needed , want to know if they turn and need something , was not til someone showed me a sight that said not to use it, then another said yes with buts, tahst I thought I'd ask if there was a vet round to clarify
  8. this benadryll is ok for adults and children over 2
  9. coughing is all they are doing atm, they seem to want to hawk up flem
  10. my vet usually answers after hours, but atm no , fancy having a life I have been told by vet b4 and by others that you can use benadryl ,I bought the liquid original and now have been told no you can't. Chopper and Gizzi both have it now , Gizzi has pancreatitis and takes phenomav[sp] for fits . Whats the dosage and can Gizzi have it?They are not too bad now, just want to know incase they get worse [Gizzi 13yo] and I need something for them .
  11. I'd ask the specialist , but for my dogs I make tuna bake, my girl has pancreatitis and she is fine on it , just tuna in spring water [use water ], flour[ i use wholemeal or gluten free ] egg , sorry no measure recipe bake slow low heat
  12. we had kc round here a while ago, the vet had had dogs come in with it that were on property and had had no contact with anything , she said the disease can be airbourne and travel quite far .
  13. very thoughtful of them to leave the oranges for you to lol at , so u didn't go to sleep mad @ the toher stories
  14. Chopper brings back the ball and drops it , I used a 2nd ball, when they see the 2nd ball they drop the 1st to chase it , may work for you. Other way is to just wait them out if they want to get it tossed they drop it m then imediate say drop/give[ whatever word u want to use ] and reward . he does obed , well did til I got bored with it and held the dumbell , it didn;t seem to confuse him, he learnt the dumbell after fetching and dropping for years
  15. aww thats nice, pass the tissues please
  16. I think if you show that you don't allow this it will learn not to do it to you , my girl knows the ppl that she can wrap round her paw and get away with stuff and the ones that don't . Don't think it is bad for you to teach it to behave while with you .
  17. I don't know about trait , but my small terrier used to do the scratch at covers thing, I used to do it and turn to get a back scratch
  18. Chopper does , not often at home as I do the disciplining , but he will do it to other dogs , just a growl, he esp does it to Sonar and she for some reason thinks Chops is a god and does whatever he says quite intriguing to watch them when he decides she needs a 'this is how you should behave lesson', esp after she has been bit rough with my kelpie girl .
  19. OMFG imagine the pain and he is wagging his tail , so happy to be home .
  20. great pics , your dogs look great ty for sharing
  21. I have been many times and the Sydney one can get quite congested at times and yes the dogs do get near each other . I would not take a DA dog . I actually go to blue mountains now as it has way fewer numbers and more space so you can keep space or let dogs say hello . eta I have seen a quite DA dog at a walk and the owner was def not enjoying themselves , they eventually left red faced . I really do not know why they brought it , no dogs even got near it it started the min they got oout of the car and saw a dog , so yes def do not assume that every dog there will be freindly and controlled .
  22. how terrible for you all, esp the kids
