haha how cute are the hat ones! looks like a great day was had by all!

He has grown so fast I can't believe it, I didn't really notice till the other week guess when you spend all the time with him. As for the study well has actually good I leave the door open goes in and out all the time and drags his bed in to the study and plonks himself next to me for ages, he's pretty good HOWEVER he did pull up the carpet in the bedroom it is destroyed hasn't done anything bad since then (tough wood!) I should upload the photo of the carpet....

Sorry about that VM, Kenobi is keeping with the theme I see . All good, yep there is a theme with my fur babies! My cats called jedi haha she had a litter they were all named after star wars lol it's sad to say yep I'm a star wars tradgic! Oh wont let me walk down the aisle to it bastard haha. Kenobi had his first bath today, he did ok wasn't overly thrilled but god he did stink haha, get his shots next week can wait to get him out and about. Walking on the lead is proving harder than I thought.

I adore my vet too! When one of my cats got bitten by a snake on a sunday she raced down to the surgery pulled out all the stops didn't charge us for the anti venom or a sunday call out fee just the nights stay! and she stayed there with her and fed her chicken treat the next morning she's a total gem! They all are at my surgery couldn't ask for better and recommend them to who ever will listen to me!

Agreed! my poor best not get use to it though, were moving back to my mums while we build and she has said no dogs on the new leather couch sure thing mum Anyway thought I'd give it another crack at putting up some picks God it's a hard life at our house! It was only one side of it clearly more tasty than the other as he didnt touch the other end... Crazy dog! Aussielover he get roughly a handful of dry food if that when I head outor need a bit of time (usually every second day) I scatter it in the grass so he has t find it keeps him entertained and out of my hair for a while. haha I can just see your dog now obi usually just sniffs it then wanders away hasn't happen yet today so hopfully it was a once off. Little grott :D

I haven't changed his food I alternate between chicken wings, the odd bit of lamb and some patties I made but I followed the BARF directions. His main diet would be the wings though I found necks irritated his bowels too much. He's 11 weeks old and he hasn't been ill the other day however he did alot of poos and they weren't firm but I kept an eye on him and it was firm by the morning. I did give him some natural yoghurt (was mixed in with other stuff in his kong) the other day but I wouldn't consider it enough to be a worry.

I'm sure this has been posted many times but I have just seen my boy eat his poo! ugh I feel Ill!!! This has never happened before, I just wanted to know is there a reason he has decided tonight was the night he wanted to try it? Oh I know dogs will be dogs but still Does it mean maybe I'm not feeding him enough? Thanks!

I am green that you all are getting your CR packages! hopefully mine will come monday... Just wondering if you had any tips for teaching my boy to walk on a lead? I have let him pull it around for about a week and I have just started to "walk" him but I'm not having much luck! Lets just say he has been a testing little so and so in the last few days. cheecky bugger cant help but love him!

When I say chew its not bad more of a nibble but if I let it go I think it could become a problem. He's great they things he chews on the most is his toys followed by the hag on his bed and then the cats beds oh and my anckles! Not a fan of chilli for him that just seems a little mean???? I cant block of access it's too difficult so this seemed like the next best thing. I just want to nip it in the bud before it develops into something bigger.

I wanted to clean up kenobi's wee spots on the carpet I have always used tea tree oil for things like thins but on reading posts here I'm confused is or is it not toxic? I also wanted to put some on the bottom draw as he is chewing the handle. or do you have an alternative? I prefer natural over chemical

Haha I hate it too but I watch it because I get to yell at the tv. Yep I'm embracing the inner nan Oh Wazzat thansk so much for the info, and if I ever get into therapy care I will most certainly take you up on your offer! I think that kind of therapy is incrediable! I have been working on getting my work to take part in music therapy ugh apparently I'm just a bit too hippy for them. We will see if we can make it down on the weekend I have a rare one off!

Vader's mum, I couldnt recommend getting pet insurance more highly. Luckily, we got it in July and are so glad we did. As most people in this thread would be aware (sorry to those that werent, it is a really sad story). 3 weeks ago our beautiful Leila (GSP aged 21 months) was diagnosed with cytosistic sarcoma (an uncommon cancer of the lymph nodes, liver and spleed). It progressed incredibly quickly, the onlology vet at Murdoch believed she only had the disease (with no symptoms visible) for 2 to 3 weeks before diagnosis. We spent nearly $7000 trying to give her a fighting chance but unfortunately we decided that the disease had progressed quicker than the treatment could help her and the long term prognosis was not good (limited chance of remission and only short published remission times) so we chose to pts so she didnt have to suffer. We were insured with PIA and at this stage I cant comment on their service as the claims have been sent in but have not yet been paid. We had accident and illness with a $100 excess. It made any decision only based on what was best for her and giving her the best fighting chance and making sure she wasnt suffering which eased the burden a lot. The vets at Murdoch also said they deal with insurance companies regularly and are more than happy to argue if it is needed. You might think it will never happen - and we didnt think it would, and have never had insurance before, but we would never be without it now. Oh Im so sorry to hear this :D I know how hard that decision is as our last family dog a good 10 or more years ago had cancer and we decided to have her PTS it's such a heart breaking thing to go through! I wanted to get it for my boy I have spoken to a few vets and they recommended it, I just wanted to see what you all thought about it and even better as you are in WA. Thanks :D

Well since I'm home alone and OH didnt call tonight I have to share that kenobi took himself out to the toilet TWICE today!! Im so impressed first time was his own doing no promts from me second time I saw the sniffing I said toilet and he went out alone so impressed with my little man!

Lordy! TWO puppies?! You'd be a sucker for punishment I do have to say though that having an older dog does help. Paddy thinks his big brother is Xmas and follows him everywhere! eta - the floor is littered with puppy toys and Dougal's toys ..... and what is the puppy playing with? The Sunday Times and the screwed up receipt from the shop Haha sounds like kenobi, has all these toys but loves the loo rolls and empty coke box. Hope he likes his clear run toys heheehee Yeah maybe I am a sucker for punishment but it might keep him company, not sure when we will get dog #2 but prob not till kenobi is 1.5 - 2 this will be OH dog but as he's away yep Im sure it'll end up been a mamas dog

I will take him They should put earplugs in the puppy pack when they hand everything over to you He was actually very good, he did squark for 10 minutes and then settled for an hour, he squarked again at 11pm so toilet trip outside, then back to bed and I didn't hear from him until 5am Oh wow that isnt bad!! Im jealous! haha and yes I too would be more than happy to take him off your hands! He can come keep my terror company.
