  1. Hugo sits next to me on the ground and just stares at me for minutes on end, licking his lips and shifting his weight around, if he's out of his pen while we eat. I sometimes toss him a scrap off my plate every now and again; we're not really strict on table manners, though we never let him jump up while we're eating.
  2. http://www.emporiumbooks.com.au//book/the-...ding-of-dogs.do Cheapest source found on Booko.
  3. The Dremel is fantastic.. Hugo wouldn't let us go near him with the clippers but he'll sit somewhat quietly and wait for his nails to get done when we use the Dremel!
  4. It's quite a pricey book! $100 seems a ridiculous amount of money for a book to me http://booko.com.au/books/isbn/9780670073597
  5. My Vallhund Hugo suits me perfectly. "He is the cheese to my macaroni". He's very playful, very cuddly, bursting with personality, and on top of that, he's smart as a whip too. Typical Vallhund, apparently. I also love his appearance, a robust dog with a beautifully intricate coat. A real big dog in a little dog's body! That part was important for me because I don't really fancy myself owning a girly dog and Hugo is just.. masculine. Also--little dog food bills and vet bills and everything else. It's hard finding a small, masculine dog, unless you want to go for bull breeds, which I'm not really a fan of in general, so Hugo was perfect for me.
  6. I live just south east of the CBD, I'm safe, but my suburb is on the list of suburbs expecting to be flooded, so we'll see.
  7. When you're editing the shoes, you can pick blue or brown eyes That's how I created Hugo merchandise!Link.
  8. I found two different types on ebay-- one with a wooden handle and one with a plastic handle. Buying the plastic handled-one knocks off a bit of the price.
  9. My boy has been itching like crazy too and he's getting sores in the places he's scratching himself.. sigh. I don't know what it could be, a food allergy, a grass allergy, the weather in general, but I'm going to try drenching him in some of that tea stuff to see if it works, because the poor little mite is scratching himself every few minutes and that can't be very good for his skin.
  10. Puah, posted it a bit late, didn't you?
  11. Hugo did well actually, our neighbors were letting off fireworks and apart from having his ears pricked to attention through the entire thing, he was behaving more curious to work out what the noise was rather than reacting in a panicked way. He's my little champion
  12. We play fetch with the egg first (because it's such a handy size) and when it breaks, Hugo eats it all up, including crunching up the shell himself
  13. When my Hugo got his C5 shot, he got both the injection and stuff stuck up his nose.
  14. K9: Keep in mind there are two different sized Hucks, ours are the large. When companies bring these items into Australia they are charged import duties and have to add GST, so at times when our dollar is great they "might" be cheaper overseas, but if we don't support local suppliers, they will dry up and when the dollar flips you have no option but to pay the higher price.... Just saying what worked for me, I guess.. I saved $80 on stuff for my puppy by buying from overseas stores. For someone who doesn't have a great deal of money to throw around, it's not really an amount you can sneer at.. you know?
  15. Keep in mind too that overseas websites are usually cheaper and if you look hard enough, some of them offer international shipping! I use The Find when searching for any of the toys I want to buy for my dog. So far, Cuz balls are highly recommended around here. Not a single dent in ours!
  16. I love how her eyes are like fully lit up in that blanket picture, it gives her a bit of an evil ominous glare Also I had no idea she was yellow! Judging from your signature I always thought she was a grey...greyhound
  17. Oh gosh, Sunnybank Plaza? The staff who work there are absolute tools imo. They're so damned arrogant.
  18. Bugger, just jumped to $17 del. Tried to order one before work but ran out of time. Thanks for the link to the website. I will order one after xmas. Delivery is now $12 at this website For those who were coloured ones you can buy a blue or a pink direct from the website www.thundershirt.com you can also get $10 off by using the coupon code TSHOLIDAY10 (only available with the pink or blue on the downside shipping is $20 from here The shipping cost stays the same, but depending on what size you order, it's different because of the weight of the parcel that needs to be sent
  19. I've gotten Hugo a Bob-A-Lot toy based on recommendations from DOL--hopefully he'll like playing with it. Knowing him, he'll dump it for his toilet rolls. :D I don't know why I bother sometimes, so many expensive toys and his favorite is his toilet rolls. I might get him some pigs ears as well, and some milk cookies, the trainer at his preschool had them and he goes nuts for them.
  20. Of course, there's no difference in ingredients, only a difference in size of the tablets.
