Yeah, I used them because they had a curve on the "blades" and that makes cutting out letters much neater-looking. Don't want jagged edges on the words!

Ah well, we'll all meet each other soon anyways Omigosh, I finally finished the stencils. My fingers are bruised from using manicure scissors.

I have to admit, I actually believed all those stereotypes once upon a time, in my pre-DOL days (Except the thing about poodles, the only thing I thought about them was that they were very damned fluffy and girly but I hadn't heard about their "temperament" ). There are a lot of bad examples of the mentioned breeds hanging about though. My next door neighbor has a JRT that will just NOT SHUT UP OMG, and a few houses down from me, the neighbor's had a Rottie that got out and attacked animals (including my poor chickens!) around the street, bit a person, and got put down because of it ( "rumor says" about the putting-down bit, but we haven't seen her around for years so everyone assumed that's what happened). And then the snarling staffie at the bottom of our road (who actually turned out to be only DA because she sure cozied up to me when I came closer to have a look at her, but all the dogwalkers around the neighborhood are scared of her because they think she's just an angry dog who won't think twice about biting you D: ). I'm lucky there aren't any stereotypes about Swedish Vallhunds.

I think I prefer the idea of the words being splashed across the back too.. like "TEAM DOL" in a NASCAR race or something We can walk into the walk with Top Gun sunnies on us and our dogs and the whole show will be blown away by our sheer awesomeness and--Okay, I really need to limit my morning intake of coffee, LOL.I'll make a pawprint stencil on the cardboard I have left . Having a wee bit of difficulty cutting them out (I work fast don't I lol), because I'm using fine scissors to try and stop the cardboard from freying. When transferring the words to the cardboard, I found that the paper would move about if I tried to color inside the stencil. So basically what I've been doing is drawing strokes/"fur" on the edge of the stencil and letting it run over onto the cardboard (I don't even know if I explained that right), and that made sure that the paper wouldn't move about. It gave my wrist a cramp. Haha don't worry about it, Kitt. I would be happy to do the same as you, but when I do something, I don't like to do it only half-way, it's all in or all out! It's so much fun to go to effort to make something that you know will look awesome at the end of the day and people will appreciate (for me at least :p). And I mean Hugo's happily chewing on the words I'm cutting out and dropping onto the floor for him so to see that smile on his face is all worth making the stencils.

Alrighty, I whipped something up real quick but I think it looks very nice. xxx What do you guys think? We could have the pawprint on the bandanas for the dogs, and the whole text on the shirts for us. Actually, I'll keep it a surprise. :D Ooh also about placement, do you guys think the stencil will look better on the back of the shirt or the front? If it's on the back, we can put a pawprint logo on the front (in a corner somewhere off-center), but if it's on the front, then there's no need for anything on the back and etc etc Sorry, force of habit being a graphic designer, everything in your brain has to "mesh" together somehow . My mother brought up the back/front issue when she was like "Size fourteen.. they're going to have boobies, Demi! Everyone's going to be staring at their boobies when they read it!" That's actually a good question though (maybe not about the boobs, but the placement)--if the stencil is on the front, people will only see it when they're facing us; if the stencil is on the back, people will only see it when they're behind us.

Depends how long the stenciling takes, it should take about 10 minutes per shirt from past experience. A few days? Maybe I can drop them off on to the city on Tuesday and they'll be with you by Friday or Thursday or something. Oh yeah, I go to QUT :D

I don't even know what that is! :D I think the texta not drying beforehand will actually be a problem if you're going to do it on the day and not beforehand, ready for the Sunday (they'd take about an hour or more to dry, wouldn't they?). How long would the courier take? Because I have uni in the city on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays, so if there's one of those clinics in the city, I could drop them off there for you?

Just use the fabric pen on the outline of the stencil and then color it in. Done it many times before for school sports days and it makes the shirt's writing look like it was printed on and not just scrawled on And for the dog's bandanas we could just stencil a little pawprint logo on it or something cute idk. *ambitious LOL*

That's great Did you want me to make stencils so that what we print on the shirts looks somewhat uniform/professional or are we going to go with just writing on them? I'm pretty sure we'll get the shirts sooner rather than later, positive thinking!

Actually what's going to happen to the shirts when they're ordered? Are they going to be washed? Also if anyone wants to consider a change of color (pink or orange or light blue or dark blue specifically), you can get the shirts for $3 and whatever size you want from this person. Just a thought Actually that won't work, they don't look like they have enough stock for multiples of every shirt color. Dammit.

Valls are very hardy dogs and I hear they're a bit better with joint/back problems because they have slightly longer legs than corgis (I think the corgi puppies are waaay cute though, so it's a tough call ). My Hugo is very outgoing and I hear most Valls are, actually. I recommend Ausvarg as a breeder, she's a very kind, helpful person, and she's great to talk with over the phone--just give her a ring!

Okay word's back and the seller ain't got no more size eight red shirts and she's not getting any more in This could be a good substitute if you want a size six/eight. They also do bulk discounts (I wonder if "more than five" constitutes as a bulk order ).

I just sent a note to the seller asking them where their red size eight shirts are If they tell me they don't have any, I guess I'll have to go with a ten as well. I'll tie it in a knot at the waist and make it into some sort of a fashion statement. A super sexy 80's workout video fashion statement. If someone sends me the shirts and some black paint or something, I can make a stencil from cardboard, use my super awesome graphic design skills to design a typeface, maybe a logo too if I have time, and all the shirts will have "DOL Doggies" on them for the big day? Could be funky. Haha aw man, my boyfriend is going to give me looks when I tell him he needs to pay to walk my dog with me. :p Also, how many people would need shirts, can we send out PMs to people in this thread or something to find out? Because there are more sellers who will do discounts for multiple orders and some of those sellers will have better quality shirts for around the same price but in all sizes as well, I can ask around if I know how many shirts there's a need for
