Omg! The Crate Is Massive! Where Do You Keep Yours?
Dju replied to Aztec Gold's topic in General Dog Discussion
I keep mine at the foot of my bed. But it's not that big anyways (it's a little smaller than yours). As for what I put on the bottom, I put one of his many beds down so it's soft and plush for him. He hates sleeping in it though so we're getting him a soft crate that's bloody gigantic next. -
Design A Logo For The Identa-pup Id Collars For Whelping Supplies
Dju replied to SwaY's topic in General Dog Discussion
I might consider making another logo if I have time.. I was thinking about doing the rainbow scheme as well but all my degree buddies whom I asked opinions from about ideas said that it would remind them of gay/lesbian dog logos and not to steer down that path -
Which Online Pet Supply Store Do You Use

Callicoma Kelpies & Pet Supplies can beat Priceless Pets by a long shot http://www.callicoma.com.au/ And PPOTW beats Callicoma Kelpies & Pet Supplies outright (I like this game) They are cheap! Do you buy from here? I notice they do not have a contact number. I try to avoid buying online from sites that do not have a phone contact. Yeah, they're the ones I always go to for all Hugo's medication needs and sometimes other needs too (though unfortunately bought a halti from ebay, mistakenly thinking I'd found the cheapest source before realising that these guys actually stocked cheaper haltis too!! Arghfdfgfg). They're not the most user-friendly website, or even nice-looking, but dammit, they have good prices. http://www.trixanpet.com.au/ Trixanpet rivals some products on price, though I like how PPOTW has free shipping (whereas Trixanpet does not), so it ends up a similar price anyways. I buy Sentinel and Interceptor Spectrum and they are the cheapest I have seen. That website Pets24/7 which was that fraudulent site was also very cheap. My mum got caught from this site!! So this is why I asked if you had brought from this site as I am now more cautious! Yeah this site looks bloody dodgy I have to say but I was recommended to them from another DOLer and they haven't let me down so far. And I can't seem to find a place that can beat them in Comfortis and Valuheart so I'm a happy chappy. -

Yeah I think this is a great idea too but whenever I go to oppy's and have a look I can never find any without eyes or noses or bean fillings... What's wrong with eyes and noses? All of Hugo's soft toys have eyes and/or noses. And can't you just cut them off?

I find http://www.petproductsontheweb.com.au/ usually has the cheapest medications for us. -

istockphoto.com License restrictions Here is what you cannot do with either a Standard or Extended license: Prohibited uses for both Standard and Extended license Use in any logo or trademark There's actually quite a lot of recognisable stock (even copyrighted) pictures in at least half the submissions so far, which renders them practically unusable as SwaY would need to pay for licensing in order to put up the logos.. SwaY, just protecting you here mate, and I don't want to step on any toes, but would it be a good idea to put a rule up about using imagery that isn't created by the contestant in a logo submission? -
So sorry for your loss, R.I.P. Emma

Sure, because I fully expected CW EW to actually desex her aunt's dog.. NOT!! :p Besides, she said in this thread that the aunt intended to desex her dog anyways, but never got around to it.
-
Well puppies can't talk, but I know of lots of breeders who like to hear from their buyers (mine included!).
-
Get the dog desexed and when your aunt rocks up to get the dog, shout "SURPRISE!" and hand her the bill
-
Oh man, that's so unfortunate I hope Tango gets better very soon.

Here, posted the images up in the thread as well for you Good luck with the competition, too! -
This is what I thought as well. But if you think like this then titre testing becomes practically pointless since either high/low result can mean "still protected"

What Crate Size For Golden Retriever Pup?
Dju replied to Aztec Gold's topic in General Dog Discussion
Cage Sizing For Your Pet How to Measure your Pet 1. Length in cm = Nose to root of tail – tail excluded 2. Height in cm = Floor to top of head while standing 3. Width in cm = At the widest point Cage Measurements – How To Get The Correct Cage Size Length = A + 1/2 of B Width = C x 2 (Twice shoulder width) Height = B + 1/2 of C ----- That's the formula we used for picking out a crate for Hugo. We did have to ask the breeder for measurements though, since he was a puppy then and we wanted him to grow into it. But then again it depends on what you want her to be doing in there and how much time she's going to spend in it. We're trying to get Hugo to sleep in his crate now and it's just a wee bit small for him to stretch out in so we're getting him an Akita-sized soft crate now I have to say I wish I bought a soft crate from the get-go, but people were concerned that Hugo would chew right through it--turns out he's not a chewer. But GRs.. Don't GRs have a reputation for chewing? Maybe a metal crate would be best. We trained Hugo not to bite during play by screaming "OUCH!" whenever he bit us and walking away--end of playtime. Dogs have the ability to control their jaws with great precision, so play biting really doesn't need to happen, you must make sure she doesn't get away with it! -
They told me to hold out on buying beds because I might have a chewer too, but at $7 a pop from Kmart, I didn't think it would matter if he chewed it up: They come in smaller and larger varieties too. Kmart is generally cheaper than online stores because online stores usually charge for shipping as well as the bed.

A check chain is otherwise known as a choker collar. And people were telling me that nylon cuts up your hand if your puppy pulls on the leash while going on walks, that's the only reason I could think she'd want a fabric one istead of a plastic one.
-
Hmm, is Heartgard specifically ineffective or is the active ingredient in Heartgard ineffective? It doesn't say anything about what makes it ineffective, so it's either a dosage issue or an ingredient issue, and if it's the latter, then there are a whole range of heartworm preventative products that will be ineffective..
-
It's not a very common breed, so Ausled is one of the only breeders in the DOL listings that frequent these forums. Otherwise, this thread holds a lot of information about the breed from owners on DOL.
-
I like this idea I might try doing the same with a dog roll to see how it goes.

Thanks for getting rid of my artblock
