  1. Sheena You should talk. Why don't you say l promote and sell black hawk instead of pretending to be a convert.
  2. Dobecrazy Canidae have not changed there formula since 2007. Since Canidae has been in Australia (25 months now) it has never had a formula change. Hope this clears it up for you George
  3. Nope there isn't and it's one of the reasons we've opted to stock it. Many others that advertise on the front of their bags as " turkey and rice " " lamb and rice " etc still contain chicken. There's also a few manufacturers that are changing formulas, I feel for those who are using a product and we're getting good results that now have to look for something else. Awesome. Obviously Pro Plan sensitive now has chicken meal in it, the rep has said that it "shouldn't" upset my girl's belly because there's not enough chicken in it but shouldn't isn't really good enough when you have a dog that is in pain from her upset belly and can't do what she wants to do. Thanks for that Ams, will try for a sample. Hi, for those that want to try. I did email Canidea au site and they were happy to mail samples out for me. Hi all Anyone that would like samples please email [email protected]. All we need is your name, address and product you wish to try. We will send samples straight out to you Thanks
  4. A all natural product has 12 months from when the food is made. So when you order and receive it here in Australia, you lose about 2 or 3 months in transit. That leaves about 10 or 9 months date on it. Then buyers want 6+ months on dates. Which is very hard for a importer to manage
  5. Hi Nekhbet What do you do now? Are you a rep for Royal Canin now
  6. Sodium Selenite = salt Thanks for that Its pretty low in the ingridients list. If its 1% or more it might be why some dogs are drinking more
  7. How about sodium There must be some form of salt in pet food
  8. There have been other posters who've reported the drinking and that it stopped when the food was discontinued. I'm not knocking the food - but that is what some who've fed it reported. Why dont anyone ask the experts how much salt or sodium is in the product l had a look the other day, l couldnt find it
  9. Canidae Platinum all Natural 20% Protein 8% Fat
  10. Have you tried a fish based kibble only fish Full of omega 3 and 6 and very good for skin conditions
  11. You will need the OK from who ever makes the product to import to Australia Importing dog food requires permits from AQIS and FDA if it comes from America. The process takes close to 12 months if everything is agreed on. Its not easy, every box must be ticked off. The biggest issue is tempretures the dog food is cooked at If your still that keen to import this dog food ask the company what tempreture there dog food is cooked at. If its under 100C forget about it you will not get permits Hope this helps
  12. If its the same brand dog food, changing over would be fine Its when you use cheaper products and then go to a quality food is the issue Quality dog food takes time for dogs to get used to. They do absorb the food and get the benifits out of it Where the cheaper food goes in one end and comes out the other and there system is not absorbing anything If you feed a cheap brand of dog food and go to a quality brand of dog food you will notice the the difference in the dogs stools they would be less They absorb most of the food Hopes this helps
  13. Oscars appointment is with Doctor Burton and I will call them first thing on Wednesday morning to see if he can be seen earlier. Today I think we will visit the emergency vet in the hope he can be made more comfortable in the mean time. Oscar was meant to of had a skin biopsy during his skin scraping procedure but apparently the vet 'ran out of time' and the biopsy was not taken. I have never understood what happened as it was my husband that picked Oscar up afterwards. Has anyone had any experience with Canidae Grain Free Salmon food? I can't seem to locate the equivalent in Eagle Pack. Once again, many thanks to everyone for your help. I have really been at a loss as to what to do. Hi Pixandpug Could you you please send me your email address [email protected] Thanks
  14. Hi ColieLover If you have trouble Finding Canidae please Email me on [email protected] and l will help you Thanks
  15. Hi RallyValley The reason why Grain Frees have higher proteins is because the meat content is much higher than your average dog food. No rice, No fillers you actually feed less than most dog foods because they get more Meat and not fillers Canidae's Grain free, 80% of the protein derives from the Meat Hope this Helps G.G
  16. Danois im sorry about your sample not getting there and thats very kind of you Woofen if you buy a bag of Canidae and what ever reason you dont think its good eneogh you can return and get a full refund
  17. Now that all of our foster dogs are eating Canidae I AM your number one spokesperson. BTW I sent a pic and a few words to your testimonials people. Annie Thank you very much Anniek This is the reason why we bought an ALL Natural product to Australia To hear people like you reccomend Canidae and love the product Thanks Again
  18. Oh! That's the other benefit we've seen from the Canidae too - the gas has gone - now I get the ocassional fart only - not frequent room clearing ones (always good when you have a dane!) and improvement in skin. I was just saying in the dane thread - I switched from feeding about 700g of Eagle Pack Power to feeding 400g of Canidae and he's holding his weight if not getting more solid :p Danois Thats great your great dane is doing so well on Canidae Our grain free products has 80% of the protein derives from the meat Thats the reason why you are using alot less because our kibble is mostly meat l might have to put you on the list of spokesperson aswell. LOL
  19. I do not believe they need grains tlc - in the wild they may rip out and eat a stomach - containing partly digested grains. The VAN all natural tries to simulate that by using fermented grains - not the same thing IMO. Grains are fine in moderation - I will throw a bit of left over brown rice in their dish now and then - certainly not for any nutritional benefit, just because it is there and they like it..lol I will feed bread to really skinny foster dogs - it will put weight on and make them think their tummy is full, but again they do not need it, it would be on top of what they need nutritionally. JMHO. My little black greyhound has had a "seal" coat for the last 7 years - since I got her. SInce feeding the grain free salmon Canidae, she is now black and really really shiney - amazing as I thought she was just one of those black dogs that never really look black. Previously I was feeding EP holistic anchovy. Anniek you keep this up l will have to make you head spokewomen for Canidae. LOL Canidae Grain free salmon is our number one product for dogs with upset tummies and skin discorders The amount of positive feed back we get, its great
  20. Thats Correct tlc Caniday is the correct way to say it
  21. We can not bring beef into the country Very tough guidelines But never say never
  22. Also duck and Turkey Grain free Working on permits as we speak
  23. Did you receive my PM re Canidae agent? Would also love to know where in perth to buy it If you ring Kappina distributers on who are the only distributers for WA They will help you
  24. l feed canidae Grain free ALS l was using another premium dog food but wanted to reduce my cost and came across Canidae l feed nearly 150 grams less per day because the amount of meat in the product Has no fillers and is all natural l am very happy with canidae it is pricey but l have reduced my cost by feeding less per day
  25. JulesP It would be one of 4 ingredients imo Brewers rice , oat meal , brewers dried yeast , Canola meal not sure what that is l thought it was an oil
