Sheena You should talk. Why don't you say l promote and sell black hawk instead of pretending to be a convert.

Dobecrazy Canidae have not changed there formula since 2007. Since Canidae has been in Australia (25 months now) it has never had a formula change. Hope this clears it up for you George

Nope there isn't and it's one of the reasons we've opted to stock it. Many others that advertise on the front of their bags as " turkey and rice " " lamb and rice " etc still contain chicken. There's also a few manufacturers that are changing formulas, I feel for those who are using a product and we're getting good results that now have to look for something else. Awesome. Obviously Pro Plan sensitive now has chicken meal in it, the rep has said that it "shouldn't" upset my girl's belly because there's not enough chicken in it but shouldn't isn't really good enough when you have a dog that is in pain from her upset belly and can't do what she wants to do. Thanks for that Ams, will try for a sample. Hi, for those that want to try. I did email Canidea au site and they were happy to mail samples out for me. Hi all Anyone that would like samples please email [email protected]. All we need is your name, address and product you wish to try. We will send samples straight out to you Thanks

Sodium Selenite = salt Thanks for that Its pretty low in the ingridients list. If its 1% or more it might be why some dogs are drinking more

There have been other posters who've reported the drinking and that it stopped when the food was discontinued. I'm not knocking the food - but that is what some who've fed it reported. Why dont anyone ask the experts how much salt or sodium is in the product l had a look the other day, l couldnt find it

Does Anyone Know If I Can Import Dog Food Online?
G.G replied to a topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
You will need the OK from who ever makes the product to import to Australia Importing dog food requires permits from AQIS and FDA if it comes from America. The process takes close to 12 months if everything is agreed on. Its not easy, every box must be ticked off. The biggest issue is tempretures the dog food is cooked at If your still that keen to import this dog food ask the company what tempreture there dog food is cooked at. If its under 100C forget about it you will not get permits Hope this helps -
If its the same brand dog food, changing over would be fine Its when you use cheaper products and then go to a quality food is the issue Quality dog food takes time for dogs to get used to. They do absorb the food and get the benifits out of it Where the cheaper food goes in one end and comes out the other and there system is not absorbing anything If you feed a cheap brand of dog food and go to a quality brand of dog food you will notice the the difference in the dogs stools they would be less They absorb most of the food Hopes this helps

Chronic Unknown Skin Condition - Desperate
G.G replied to pixandpug's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Oscars appointment is with Doctor Burton and I will call them first thing on Wednesday morning to see if he can be seen earlier. Today I think we will visit the emergency vet in the hope he can be made more comfortable in the mean time. Oscar was meant to of had a skin biopsy during his skin scraping procedure but apparently the vet 'ran out of time' and the biopsy was not taken. I have never understood what happened as it was my husband that picked Oscar up afterwards. Has anyone had any experience with Canidae Grain Free Salmon food? I can't seem to locate the equivalent in Eagle Pack. Once again, many thanks to everyone for your help. I have really been at a loss as to what to do. Hi Pixandpug Could you you please send me your email address [email protected] Thanks -
Hi ColieLover If you have trouble Finding Canidae please Email me on [email protected] and l will help you Thanks

Hi RallyValley The reason why Grain Frees have higher proteins is because the meat content is much higher than your average dog food. No rice, No fillers you actually feed less than most dog foods because they get more Meat and not fillers Canidae's Grain free, 80% of the protein derives from the Meat Hope this Helps G.G
