I have 4 more weeks to wait till I get my lil Westie Pup "Murci" I have a question though, a slight complication has come up where I have to go away for 3-4 nights (over a wkend) to NZ (back home to the family). At this time Murci will be only 13 weeks old (so only 1 month and 1 week at home with us). Do you think its ok if we have someone stay at our place to look after him? - Hoping that my months training won't go out the window whilst we are away for 3-4 nights. Also, he still needs to be fed about 3 times a day, and the people looking after him could probably only feed him twice a day due to full time jobs. My partner said he would stay and look after him and I'll go instead to NZ. But both of us are required to go as it's my nephews (2 of them) baptism's - we are god parents. Hmmm.. not sure what to do!! I don't want to kennel him either, I just hope to keep the training going at home with someone there whilst we are away. Anyone had a similar thing happen when having a 4 month pup? Thanks for any help in advance!!

I selected my pup yesterday only at 2 weeks. These wee things (Westies) are so high in demand everywhere! I picked a boy and have called him Murci! Can't wait to pick him up in 6 weeks time!!!! Just need to buy a few last things for him before he comes home!! He was the smallest out of the litter but snuggled up on my chest and my friends when we held him, I just knew he was the one. So placid and affectionate! :D Took a pic with my phone - a little blurry though! Will be seeing him again in 4 weeks to see how he's travelling. EXCITED!! :D :D

Hi All! I'm new to the forum site My partner and I are currently deciding between 2 breeders (for a Westie pup!). We're seeing one breeder this Saturday as the pups will be 2 weeks and the other Breeder is having litter this Saturday too, so we'll see the other breeder in a couple weeks time. My partner and I have decided on a boy, so can't wait to choose one! It will be hard as being 2 weeks old, they won't have their eyes open yet & there 2nd coat won't be showing either. Either way i'll have my westie pup in 1.5 months! Definately can't wait. Just prepping the house and buying all sorts! If anyone has any tips in regards to Westies, please let me know
