  1. I don't have a clue unfortunately. Not sure of any good landmarks to suggest where we will all be able to find each other. Hopefully I should be able to recognise some dogs on here. My boy should be an easy one to spot ;)
  2. I only have one doggy also, but he's more than I can handle
  3. KA & KTB: I really couldn't see Akita in that dog either, but I see no harm in playing a bit of a guessing game. It amazes me that there's always someone who has to come along and be the thread fun police. Honestly, is there really anything wrong in being curious?? Niques: Hope James is recovering well. Once our two boys stitches are out, we should definitely organise a meet with the other Brisbane DOLers here to go for a walk somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Beautiful photos by all as always. Echo is getting so big!!
  4. As long as it's fully fenced, I'm happy with wherever. I haven't been to too many different parks with him, so I can't think of anywhere at the moment.
  5. Is it super lame of me that I'm soo excited for Woofstock?
  6. I only got Kyojin at about 12 weeks old, and he started training the following week. Definitely not too old at all.
  7. Would love to come to the next one guys. 6th March should be my turn for the weekend off, but either way it's a Southside meet so if I finish at 3, it won't be a biggy.
  8. And if you put an Aussie in the mix, they'd run straight through the middle of the formation body slamming dogs as they went, thoroughly mortifying the BCs and kelpies. :D Absolutely! Wondering why all the other dogs were being so serious Whereas an Akita would chase for about three minutes, before getting too hot and realising that the other dogs are much faster. Upon that realisation, he would go stand in the shade gathering pats from the humans or hunt down some water to drink splash around in. The other day when OH and I were taking Kyojin for a walk, OH decided that he and Kyojin would sprint when they got to our street. They only had to run for about 200 metres, but poor Kyojin was wrecked
  9. Off Topic, but RSG, every time I see pics of your lot I think how beautiful they look. I don't think I've ever seen nicer looking SBTs. And they definitely don't look anything like pugs
  10. The only people who have ever guessed my breed have actually guessed Akita amazingly enough! Everyone else has absolutely no idea and asks.

  12. Ah ha, Wuffles suggestion sounds much more correct
  13. I think NBT is "Name's being taken" i.e. this one's still up for adoption, and "on hold" would be the ones that have probably already had a deposit paid on them.
  14. Kyojin will eat anything. I normally give him frankies cut up into semi-circles. He loves those. I hate the sliminess of digging into my treat bag to give them to him though
  15. Naww, Kyojin's 7 months old today. They grow up so fast, don't they!
  16. $50 sounds pretty reasonable to me. I'm not sure what my mum pays to get her Beardie done, but I would think $50 would be a reasonable price. Though, for that dog in particular, you couldn't pay me $500 to groom it
  17. My little man got desexed yesterday. Unfortunately because he only had one descended testicle he had to have a castration as well as a "spay" pretty much as they had to go searching to find the other one, which ended up in his belly So he has a huge amount of stitches in and has been following me around everywhere so that he can get lots of sympathy cuddles. He even put himself in his crate at 7.30 last night!! Normally he has a whinge if we try and put him to bed before around 10.30/11ish. He keeps falling over though
  18. That's hilarious Cleo. And makes me want to find my Furby again
  19. Remember Furbies? Those things were way freaky My ex's little sister had one. *Shudder* I really didn't like them. All that weird gibberish for no reason and at random times... Just me then? *Ahem* As you were. Ahhh Furbies. I convinced my parents I had to have one for Christmas because my best friend had several and they were always so highly amusing when we'd play with them at hers. Turns out they're not very fun on your own so I never really played with mine. Oops!
  20. Come to Woofstock! Sunday 20th Feb, 9am-4pm at Albion Raceway http://www.woofstock.com.au/index.php?opti...2&Itemid=13
  21. The first dog I ever had my parents had called Churchill, after Winston Churchill I like Charlie. My parents gave me a yellow canary for my first Christmas as a baby and they named him Charlie.
  22. Dogperson, for a first dog I would not recommend a Shiba. I wouldn't recommend any stubborn breed.
