  1. Thank you to the committee for holding a neuter class! I am driving all the way from Hastings with just my neuter so I can show her :)
  2. All my suits are now sold :) Now on the look out to purchase a suit for the Melbourne Royal which will creep up on us fast! Looking for Size 10 AUS and a bright/bold colour if anyone has anything suitable. I'll keep a look out on facebook pages etc.
  3. Looking forward to Geelong Show this weekend - I am travelling all the way there from Hastings just to show my neuter! Will be her third show ever. She's so fun to show, such a happy little vegemite :)
  4. Thank you all for your help. I looked around but couldn't get what I required in time and decided not to rush it. I'll look at purchasing the one you recommended Newfsie, looks like what I am after. We put the cart behind the dog last week and she didn't really like it. She isn't a nervy dog but didn't like having something behind her. She kept wanting to turn around. I understand they can take some getting used to and training. Once we have the harness we'll work on it with her. Any tips on how to commence training?
  5. Wasn't quite sure where to post this so apologies in advance if I have posted this in the wrong section! I have just purchased a cart to use on the odd fun day with my Leonberger. The cart did not come with a harness so I was wondering if anyone on here has any contacts on where I can purchase one? Required by 18th May. I can get my partners Mum to put one together for me but would prefer a professional one so that I know weight is being carried evenly on the dog. Even though it's quite light and she won't be carrying it for very long. The two bits of wood on the floor next to it are what connects to the cart and requires a suitable harness to attach to them. Any help would be great, thanks!
  6. Saw Leonberger with the number 16 next to it only to realise I was reading it wrong. Only 1...me! Haven't received my number yet, hopefully will be waiting for me when I get home. Will this show go ahead no matter what the weather is?

  8. I was so excited to receive an invite, would be great to see a rare breed/Leonberger there. SO shattered when I saw the date, clashes with my engagement party which most our friends/family who show will be at also. I've asked Indy to win an in show this year so we get invited back next year. Lol. Won't hold my breathe though! :)
  9. These leads are just stunning and the prices are so good I am collecting one to go with every outfit in my show wardrobe! Lol They are also great for a general walking lead :)
  10. I think most have covered it. If you are coming in June though pack winter woolies too, it can get freezing inside!
  11. I couldn't agree with you more Wazzat. They aren't supposed to be the pretty dogs we see in the show ring. True hairless cresteds are quite ugly (but cute in their own way :) ) never see them anymore. I've been put off on purchasing another crested until I can get one that doesn't require endless amounts of shaving. I'm happy to wait until I can find one with minimal body hair. It's also a shame that people wanting hl pets (like me when I got my first hl) can't get a hl dog that doesn't require shaving. No one wanting just a pet wants to have to shave them! And I don't think pet people are told of the types (extremely hairy etc) and the work involved in upkeep enough.
  12. I'll post this in the crested thread as I know alot of cresty people reguarly check there. Hope he finds a nice home soon!
  13. Well done to the neuters at Cranbourne Dog Club Show. I only have one Crested to show which is a neuter and (apart from the heat) had a great day out just me and my girl. She had an absolute ball and showed her little butt off. Didn't do too bad considering it was her first official show :) :) Hopefully some more local shows offer neuter classes....no pressure :p
  14. Just wanted to say great show and thank you SO much for offering a neuter class. I had a ball showing my neuter which is the only crested I have at the moment so it was great being able to show her :)
  15. Also great to see a judge put a leonberger up for an in Group (Junior). I think I am more happy for the breed getting put up and recognized then it actually being my own dog! :)
  16. Big thank you and well done to the organisers, had a great day out with the dogs. Look forward to next year!
  17. Wow 25 Cresteds!! Great entry, my last show for the year and with my Leonberger. Look forward to it
  18. Our judge for the Chinese Cresteds gave a few critiques which I thought was great and I'd like to see more often
  19. Congrats to all the winners and grinners. We didn't get a group but got the last points needed for my Leonbergers title so came home very happy
  20. I'll try and get around to posting pics this week, I'm not after much for them. Just a little extra pocket money Iskiea - if you like any I'll express post to get them to you before your shows.
  21. Need to make room for my new suits so will be selling some. Ladies sizes 6-10. If weather good, I'll take them to Garden State Show at KCC this Sunday 20th November. Letting them go cheap!
  22. If weather good, I'll bring along some suits/jackets I'd like to get rid of to make room for my newbies I'll be at Group 6 (Leonbergers) for those interested - Ladies sizes 6-10.
  23. The Cresteds are the same, love to sunbake. I know we have to be careful with coats on them though as the skin can fade under the coat meanwhile the skin exposed to the sun darkens leaving them looking like they have a permanent coat on! I would imagine similar would happen with your dog and coat? So be careful
  24. First I heard of the accident was on Monday by the victim herself. What a lucky lady! Anyhow, as I told her I would happily support this.
