  1. I think the days at Uni sounds fine. She has regular entertainment and is well looked after. As for your parents I think it is easy to forget how naughty and how much work puppies can be. Well you have a dog for a long time you do forget the challenging parts and after they have passed a lot of people gloss over the bad bits.
  2. I would try sectioning the crate off so that there is only enough room to lay down. Your pup is less likely to soil the crate if the puppy then has to sleep in it.
  3. I don't take water away but in saying that my puppy is crated overnight so she only has access to water when she wakes up and goes out for a piddle. She is 9 1/2 weeks old and she slept from 11pm till 6.30am last night.
  4. Raineth what is the puppy etiquette class. I haven't heard of these. Where can I find out more details about where they run.
  5. Thanks for the information sounds good. I will look into the bob a long. I will try with the kibble in there initially and see how she goes. Thanks everyone.
  6. Do many people feed their dogs purely from kongs? I am getting a new puppy in a couple of weeks and have been reading about this and wanted to know how it works in real life. Any advice appreciated.
  7. We are about to embark on the same thing I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 8 month old and we are getting a puppy in a couple of weeks. I have tried to be as organised as possible. I have a crate, a puppy pen, plenty of puppy toys and am willing and able to supervise all interaction. I know I am in for a lot of work but I am really looking forward to it.
