That poor frightened dog and those traumatised people To the person who did this - Ii hope you read the letter in the paper and feel sick to the bottom of your stomach at what you have done. I hope you are reminded of your act each day for the rest of your sorry life. May karma pay you a visit

  21. Saw this in yesterday's paper - a beautiful and poignant shot. So many times a picture can say what words simply cannot
  22. It is definitely the ideal situation to evacuate early in an emergency , however , sometimes the speed of fire and flood does not allow the time for this planning and you may have to make a splt second decision to go. It would make this decision easier and safer for people and emergency service personnel, of people could grab their pets and evacuate , knowing they will be able to take them into shelters. It makes no sense that animals are not permitted to stay with owners and just increases ten fold an already stressful and emotional situation. It is true that the US learned much after Hurrican Katrina - hopefully our authorities will also reflect when the time is right and the changes allowing pets in shelters will be enacted. Thoughts to all the people in QLD and other areas experiencing these horrendous conditions.
  23. hi Darkrai Both Qantas and Virrgin Blue will let dogs fly as cargo. ( Jetstar do not transport animals at all ) To be included in your baggage limits , they have quite specific requirements and costs , so it is best to check with each airline. Just give them a call on their reservation numbers and they will advise you If you want to fly as freight , you would be best to use a pet transport company , either Jetpets or Dogtainers. They then take care of the paperwork etc for you . ( You can nominate times you want the pets to fly ) Hope this helps , and enjoy your trip with you pooch
  24. We have not lived in Melbourne for a few years , but we used to use the High Street Road Animal Hospital. We always found them to be excellent , and my parents still used them up until 2 years ago when they moved to the country . Hope this helps
