He won’t grow out of it because he is being rewarded for it . It will get worse , he will eventually pick the wrong dog and you will have a fight on your hands . I don’t go to dog parks as it’s full of badly behaved dogs . I had a high energy dog and I got a bike attachment to run him on , works wonders as they have to focus and run .

I had no idea heart problems means it takes longer , it would explain why Ozz took so long and it did upset me . The vet didn’t mention it . All my others went very quickly , bear in mind they sometimes move or make a noise after , my daughter freaked out with our Dally as he made a noise after and it scared her . It’s just air I think .

You know this happens a lot , I know breeders are protective of their dogs but no wonder people go to petshops . There seems to be a way to approach breeders but no one tells joe public that . They are a difficult breed to get , my neighbours waited ages to get another cardigan after they lost theirs and ended up driving interstate for a pup after being on a long wait list . Try asking about going on a wait list and giving them as much info about your home as possible .

I fear this is going to end badly unless you get professional help . You may well come home to a dead dog at this rate if you don’t heed the clues they are giving you .

Can you fit a kennel on the verandah? if so perhaps they would let you get him one, they go really cheap on gumtree. You could buy him a warm coat for winter, just make sure it fits ok and he can't undo any straps. My dogs used to live outside, but they had kennels with warm beds, coats and heat pads, as they got older they came inside at night. I have an elderly neighbour with a a kelpie she acquired off her nephew and they are country people so she was outside with nothing too, i gave them a coat last winter, and a martingale collar as she is a strong dog for the lady to walk ,i also suggested a kennel, she now gets to sleep in the garage at least with a warm coat. its hard not to offend people.

Bull Terrires hardly shed at all , robust and tough , some swim . The mini is a bit more manic than the standard . They need very strong leaders and boundaries and socialising .

Sorry Teebs , she was a legend who served you well . She lived a good long life and in the end you did the right thing by her . I’m sure your heart must be breaking , take care .

Shit Teebs. You know the call is never easy, i often wonder if i left some too late to give them their wings, but they look at you with those big eyes and you just cant do it. I know i let Ozz go to late, he had the worst last night and before the vets were open the next day i took him, i had driven him the day before and changed my mind in the car park. Bull breeds also dont show their pain as well, vet will advise im sure, thoughts are with you mate.

I think dogs who are with you 24/7 are more likely to get stressed if you do go out , which we all have to ! Get your sister to get the pup used to being outside while she is still there for periods of time so it gets used to it . my neighbour had a Cav pup and they walked it before work and it was left all day , it did have a dog door and big garden and it was fine . They then bought a cocker pup who was a nightmare barker !

He was one of the original Dol dogs that we all feel we knew him , we are rapidly losing them all now .

I wish they would put the price on too , money is tight for me and I’d rather know wether I can afford to buy the dog or not before I call . Older dogs can range from just the cost of desexing to almost puppy price , so confusing . If you want a GSD health would be my main concern and Ish would be the place to start with helping point you in the right direction .

I would be mighty pissed off if you lived near me and I had to encounter your dog on its outings . You clearly don’t give a rats arse about him , because he could be killed , dogs don’t have road sense , he’s just been lucky so far . Put another in season dog on the other side of the road and then watch his road sense . That little dog could well be killed if he tried to mate her , he will , every chance he gets . Get him desexed and stop letting him out or give him to someone who has more of a clue and cares enough .

$350 is nothing , however lately I have seen pups from $600 upwards on PR. I think that’s pushing it for a xbred. I always did home checks , no way would I let a dog go without checking any other dogs in the household.
