Thank you...we absolutely smitten!

Edwina was fantastic for her first night with us. We have set her up in the laundry (which has no door so we put in a baby gate). Gave her a blanket to lay on, newspaper in case of accidents and her water and puppy biscuits. We didn't hear a peep out of her all night. We passed her on the way down the corridor through the night and she was happy to see us but didn't make a sound after we disappeared from view. She stayed dry all night and did a wee for us this morning when we took her outside. She is an adorable, snorty little fluffball and it is so funny watching her play and chase her toys. What a great little dog...we are absolutely smitten!!

My new Pekingese puppy, Edwina, flew in this morning...she has the most divine temperament...an independent little soul but very happy and sweet.

We have just purchased a Pekingese puppy (6 months old) and as she will be a companion dog and we are not interested in breeding, we will be getting her desexed. Can anyone suggest a good vet in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Thanks in anticipation. :D

Great thread!! Here are some of mine from years ago. Have never worked them, though that would have been fun.

When water started rising in our yards during the heavy rains a few weeks ago, we had all our pets in cages/crates, just in case we needed to get out fast. There was no way I was going anywhere without them.

Thanks all again...some great responses. I have Persian cats, so the grooming and special care during the hotter months is not new to me. Surprisingly my Persians are very active and chase each other through the house at high speed!

Yep, Tony...have done that, leaving by front and back door. I work irregular shifts, and also go out shopping, etc. for periods. When I can take him out in the car, I do so, to break up the monotony of him being home all the time as well.
