Hello,
I have found that many people, including myself, need a great deal of support when they have had a pet pass away.
Not everyone understands the pain of pet loss, and often others can be very dismissive of the greif, simply because it is not the loss of a human friend or family member...
How sad that is.
I was glad to see that Dogzonline also have a place to post, a "Rainbow Bridge" and that they make some recommendations about some other sites we can visit as well.
Being able to properly and openly mourn the loss of a pet is important. That loss, as so many people know can often feel overwhelming - sometimes I think it is made worse by the unthinking and uncaring comments that can be made by people who do not understand the deep connection that we can have with our pets.
I have found a site that has been truly able to help me - and I would like to share it with others who have also suffered such a loss.
I would like to offer the URL of this place that I found, anyway, it is just another option..
If you want to visit this place - the link is:
www.in-memory-of-pets.com
I know it has brought me a great deal of comfort when I was feeling horrible and quite desperate - it has helped me through some tough times.
To all those who have lost a very much loved pet (family member), take care, and I do understand.
Kerry
