Hi, sorry for late reply, honestly she has had it for so long I can't remember. I couldn't see any brand name on it. I usually pick up a toy from woolies every now and than for variety and this may have been one of them. It has certainly out lasted every one of them.

Ear Infection - Narrow Ear Canal - Ear Flush...
GregW replied to Lindainfa's topic in General Dog Discussion
Using opti clean to regularly can also cause yeast infections by putting the natural environment of the ear out of balance. It is fine if it recommended by a vet but there are more gentle . Agree, recommendation was to only check regularly, opti clean was to be only used if there were signs of build up. -
I think the joy that your dog gives u is priceless.

Ear Infection - Narrow Ear Canal - Ear Flush...
GregW replied to Lindainfa's topic in General Dog Discussion
Good that your getting a second opinion, Zoe recently had a nasty ear infection, lots of head shaking, two week course of drops and antibiotics cleared it up. In regards to what could have caused it? It was probably environmental, we had loads of work done on the backyard, lots of mud, dust and then a long period of rain meaning all those nasties had a warm cozy place to thrive in her floppy ears. Flushing with opti clean? Was recommended as a pre caution if signs of redness or dirt appeared in future. Greg -
our Lab tipped the scales at about 29 kgs at one stage, dinner scraps here and there, it is amazing how it can creep up on you and make you realize what you are doing to your dog. My vet told me to only feed three quarters of recommended daily amount of dry food only and mix it with heaps of veggies. It took some time and hard work to avoid those constant looks of please feed me!!!! But the result was well worth it, she is now a trim 24 kgs

What Do You Use To Organise Your Dog Stuff?
GregW replied to heroeswit's topic in General Dog Discussion
Shelving in the garage for stuff easily to get to and a plastic tub for toys on rotation. -
Yeh, pretty much thought that DNG is the way to go, software changes so much these day.

Lenses, What Should I Start Out With?
GregW replied to Kaffy Magee's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
50mm 1.8 Lens is a cheap good fixed lens for your still shots. I got one recently in city new for $129, normally $149 so just need to hunt around a bit. -
After reading Scott Kelbys book on Lightroom 3 ( highly reccommend ) he insists that photos are better off being converted to Adobe DNG ( digital negative ) rather than native RAW as each camera is slightly different. I want to start converting to some form of RAW now, how are others doing, anyone agree that should be Adobe DNG as it is pretty much RAW but more conventional? Cheers Greg

Sympathy Not Deserved- But Needed...update...it Lives!
GregW replied to redangel's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
After reading this i think i need to get one. Question, those that do have, are you leaving it on all the time to avoid accidental hits even when you are shooting indoors or out of direct light? and how about for your pro shots? Greg -
Congratulations, well done!
